Flaming Moon
Nami cuddled against Luffyâs side in the crowâs nest of the Sunny. Her heart was still racing, but she felt amazingly relaxed. Luffy was such a great lover, unexpectedly! He wasnât really interested in sex, but he could definitely go with the flow, so to say. Their first kiss, too, had been like that: feral and intense, yet gentle. Nami sighed and shifted her position a little, inadvertently grazing the cross-shaped scar on Luffyâs chest with her fingernails. She retracted her hand immediately: she never touched his scar, knowing that it was like a sacred mark for him. A reminder of his late brother⊠âHey, Nami.â She looked up at him, hoping not to see sadness on his features. Sure, Luffy smiled and laughed most of the time, but she knew his other look too: a longing in his eyes that always broke her heart. âIf weâll have children one day, how should we name them? Luffy was grinning at her, no trace of sadness on his face. âOh.â Nami blushed. She wasnât expecting that kind of question all of a sudden. She stared at the moon partially visible beyond one of the windows, pensive. âWhat about âLunaâ for a girl?â she replied. âFor a boy, instead⊠âAceâ, maybe?â Luffyâs body tensed, but it was just a moment. âGreat choices,â he exclaimed, beaming, but Nami didnât miss the melancholy in his eyes. She bit her lips and whispered, âSorry for bringing him up.â âItâs fine.â Luffy pulled her closer for a brief but sweet kiss under the moonlight. âAce is always with me,â he added, a hand on his chest. Nami nodded at him. Iâll be forever by your side, too, she thought. Then, she dried her tears and dozed off in Luffyâs warm embrace. â A few years later⊠Two twins are running on a sandy beach at the outskirts of the Foosha Village, their happy laughter filling the blue sky over them. They are ten years old, with red hair and warm, brown eyes, and they love playing pirates âjust like mom and dadâ. Their names are Ace and Luna, and they named their imaginary crew Flaming Moon.
