This is me making a little note to myself to make this my posting blog, personal and art. I need to be more active here. I cant guilt myself into feeling bad for not drawing when I spend every waking hour in classes, doing hw, or working, but I can try a little harder to find time to fit in doodles at least. Im happier when I do. Im nearly through school too. Bachelors degree within my grasp. Ive taken my time but Id do it all the same all over again if I had the chance. And Im probably going on to a masters or doctorate anyway.

It makes me so happy to see so many new and returning artists on tumblr lately. Im inspired. The new god of war game also has me really inspired. I need to harness that.

Its been... a BIG year. In so many ways. I think for next year I want to commit to remaking/rebranding this blog and starting to use it more, not just for art but for journaling thoughts. The new non-rebloggable posts thing makes voicing my mind to the internet a little less intimidating.

i know for ~marketing~ there’s nothing to do but hop on mark zuckerberg’s dick and pray to the algorithm gods, but are there any online art hubs that foster genuine and engaged like… participation/feedback/criticism/general joy of creating. the fact that i haven’t had lunch is definitely exacerbating this but im so sad about how the internet’s descent into corporate hell has eroded my connection with, like, the unfeigned sincerity of art-making that used to come to everyone so easily before we got brain rot from likes/shares/reactions 30 second dopamine hits ): all i want is to go back to getting unsolicited art critique in the comment section of my teen titans next-gen ocs deviantart fanart
