Remus didnât know when heâd started paying attention to the obviously exasperated red head and the overly insistent man interacting with her. He thinks it might have been sometime between nursing his second and third ale. Heâd been there a while, watching people chatting, coming and going, everyone preoccupied with their own worlds, everyone but the man who kept trying to buy the woman drinks. Finally Remus had enough of watching, and with a sigh, he lugged himself to his feet and easily brushed the man aside. âTo be honest, I didnât think that was going to go so smoothly. If he comes back, we might still need your heels.â Remus gently put his drink on the counter before taking a seat next to the woman. If she wanted to be left alone, he would go as soon as she indicated it, but for now, he thought heâd ought to check in with her. âHow are you, Luna?â
Luna felt a sense of relief when she saw Remus. There was always a sort of calmness that followed whenever he was around. One that she didnât feel often but was thankful for nonetheless. The question did catch her off guard however. Not many people asked or even cared to know. Her life was always such a blur, always on the go that she often forgot to think about it or maybe she did it on purpose. Luna took another drink of her firewhiskey and then set down the glass. âMm.. could be better, could be worse. You might have to ask me again after my next drink.â She said with a soft chuckle, âWhat about you? I havenât seen you around in a bit but then again.. I guess that makes sense considering I just got back myself.âÂ
