The coast of Gaza has grown increasingly popular over the years. It had always been a sight for weary eyes but with Israel’s siege denying Gazans the freedom to move, its seemingly endless seascape offers, for many, a very tangible escape, even if only temporal. It has also become a very popular family destination. Entire meals are prepared, served, and eaten here, and it is not uncommon to stay the night, father, son, and all.

My Wordpress got a spike in visits recently and I wish it hadn't.

If you've been following me for a long time, or have been in the hellenic pagan sphere for many years, you've probably heard of Sarah Kate Istra Winter/dver or of one of their book titled Kharis or perhaps simply heard me bitch about it.

Turns out that the spike in my wordpress stats comes from them linking my blog among other blogs relating to hellenic paganism.

Needless to say, I'm not thrilled. So let me reiterate a few things:

I don't like their books, which I've criticized in past for poor research and historical inaccuracies, but her corpus of works has other, much more important issues. More on this below.

I don't want to be associated with them in any way, shape or form.

Had I been informed of the intent of linking my blog, I would have refused.

Why so harsh, you may ask?

There is a plethora of reasons, but Dver has connections to Sannion, a Dionysian who was very active back in the mid-2010s. He's a neo-nazi, and so are a lot of Dver's connections.

I do not have any tolerance when it comes to fascists, or any far-right bullshit at large and I naively thought I was too small of a blog for this wretched circle of pagans to find me. This blog is no longer small and it happened.

I also encourage anyone who remembers the Dver/Krasskova/Sannion debacle to add to this post with receipts/testimonies/whatever you know because, well, it's been nearly 10 years and I suspect a lot of people simply aren't aware.
