"Why do you ship xicheng?"
Because the image of Lan Wangji's face as he sees his older brother and role model go all heart-eyed over the man he hates the most is enough to sustain me for life.
ok OK HEAR ME OUT THO-- what if... because Liu Qingge was never meant to survive past the qi deviation in PIDM, he's the only non-transmigrator character who can see the influence of the system on the world?
i'm thinking it plays out something like this: lqg emerges from the Ling Xi caves to find he can see these... strings of what looks like energy flowing around. he can't really tell what it is, and at first he thinks its a new quirk of his latest breakthrough but when he rushes to help defend Qiong Ding Peak from the demon invasion, he realises that certain people have these auras of energy around that are especially pronounced. like he's mostly preoccupied with fighting off the demon invasion but distantly he notices that lbh has this golden glow (ie. protagonist golden halo) around him although its threaded through with dark red energy. curious. sqq also has this inexplicable dark energy around him that occasionally flashes bright blue when he seems to freeze and go absent minded. even stranger.
when mqf comes along, lqg asks about possession and mentions the strange energy but mqf assures him that they'd already tested it and that there's nothing wrong aside from the new poison in sqq's system. yqy also acts as if everything is normal even though everything is clearly NOT normal because sqq is acting very weird. but also all his weirdness happens around these pulses of blue and lqg starts wondering sqq's being forced into acting the way he is.
(yqy also has a dark aura about him although its different from sqq's. it's also very reactive towards sqq like they're tied together somehow and lqg finds it very disturbing.)
in this situation, i think sqq and lqg would have way more interactions because lqg's suspicious of sqq but also worried?? cuz he can tell that sqq is being manipulated/affected in some way. he starts hunting for monsters/beasts that help with fighting off possession or curing curses but none of them seem to have any effect. he notices the almost unnatural way sqq will act in contrary ways and how they're always attached to that same pulse of blue that only lqg can seem to see. he notices the weird way the aura's clash when sqq interacts with lbh or yqy and starts feeling protective because he can tell sqq is trying to cause as little harm as possible.
he starts wondering why no one else seems to care that something is clearly not alright with sqq. even if they can't see the aura and the energy bursts, surely its obvious just from what they know about sqq. he starts to become angry. then he becomes determined. because if no one else can see that some unknown entity is hurting sqq, then its just going to have to be lqg that saves him.
Hey does anyone know where that one svsss fic is where married liushen (post canon I'm pretty sure? Maybe not?) accidentally get transported to pre lbh cq via portal centipede and encounter the peak lords including sj and lqg, who are both utterly horrified and morbidly intrigued by their 'future selves' getting MARRIED of all things, thus starting their own potential path to liujiu.

Kassandra: Gonna go stand in a creek, do you guys need anything?
Connor: Yeah, I need you to find a leaf and gently set it in the water and watch solemnly as it floats away.
Kassandra: Gods, finally. A reasonable request.
Wolfstar - Fly Me To The Moon
After listening to Annapantsu's rendition on fly me to the moon (she is amazing, wow), I can't get this wolfstar idea out of my head.
Okay, so Sirius is punk rock and the movie gave us a Remus with an old man aesthetic (walking cane and jazz). So like what if Sirius insults Moony's taste in music and instead of defending himself, Remus . . . Just grabs him and starts dancing with him.
So, here they are swaying in this small flat they own. There's really no music except for Remus' humming. At this point, Sirius is confused yet endeared. But he's not going to stop Remus.
And then, Remus starts to sing.
So here are these to idiots in love dancing in their flat at midnight. One looks starstruck (heh) and the other is serenading. And each time a type of action is sung about, Remus would follow through. So . . .
In other words, hold my hand
Remus takes Sirius' hand and gives him a slow spin. Padfoot give a small laugh in return. This is then followed by . . .
In other words, baby, kiss me
Moony pulls Padfoot in for a kiss. It barely brushes their lips. Moony isn't finished after all.
And it finally ends at . . .
In other words, I love you
From there I'm a bit conflicted on what they would do next. Maybe they would go have wild sex. Or just a make out session. Or they would whisper endearments to one another. Or they would stare into each other's eyes.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
All I know is that Sirius would eventually say something along the lines of, "Okay, so jazz might not be so bad . . . I still think my music it better though"
Here is the Original song if your interested.
Ragnarok: Hela
I always thought that in Ragnarok, Hela should have done the opposite of what Odin foresaw or just not do anything at all.
This idea is, ofcourse, can only continue if she was aware that she was part of a prophecy, that is. But like, she's Hela. So I'm guessing, yes, she was aware.
BACK ON THE TOPIC.
She should have just exited that portal and left her squabbling little brothers there. Like one big middle finger. Because while she was his Executioner, Hela was a being powerful on her own.
She could have just decided to travel space (I mean, she was busy conquering less than a dozen worlds, bet she never had a chance to be a tourist). Stretch her legs after being imprisoned/banished (for being something you helped create and cultivate, wtf Odin). Whether or not she rekindled / started talking with her siblings again would be entirely up to her.
HER CHOICE.
Not Odin's order.
Not some damn prophecy.
Hers.
I just have so many emotions and thoughts about this rich alien royal family.
Where did the headcanon that Remus sucked at making potions come from? Don't get me wrong, I love that headcanon. But I just want to know if the idea evolved from fans questioning why Remus couldn't have made his own wolfsbane potion? Like are we all basing it off of that?
"She [Lily Evans] was there for me at a time when no one else was. We used to talk for hours."
-Remus Lupin (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Movie)
I've seen and read a lot of posts that questioned this quote that came from the movie. More specifically, on the Marauder's involvement.
I think he was referring to 5th year, when Sirius almost turned Moony into a murderer. While we don't know for sure Remus' exact reaction (Thanks JKR), we do know that Remus hated, more than anything, being a werewolf- so a good number of fics took their own spin on how The Prank would have played out. There are quite a few fics that think that Remus avoided Sirius/The Marauders and stayed with Lily a majority of that year.
This quote could even refer to the time when Sirius had thought Remus was the spy. Again, there is no concrete information, but a few is better than none. They immediately joined the Order after graduation, so between 1977-1981; Remus could have been dealing with these suspicions for 4 years.
While we don't know James' and Lily's belief, we do know for a fact that Sirius and Peter had 'doubts'. That's still possibly 2/3 (1/2 if your inclined to believe in some brotp fics) of his most loved and trusted people believing that he was the traitor. Hell, Remus probably believed it was 3/3 (3/4 - brotp), because in what universe would James Potter believe in Remus Lupin before Sirius Black.
So, yeah. While most complain about this quote, I actually like it because it implies SOMEONE actually stayed by Remus' side. And God knows Remus Lupin needs a break whenever he can catch one.
Raising Harry AU
There are a lot of stories about Sirius never going to Azkaban and raising Harry, almost always with Remus (which then usually evolves to a Wolfstar fic, not complaining I love that ship).
What I want to see is a fic about Remus raising Harry by himself. I want to read about Remus running away and making excuses (he's dangerous, can't find a steady job . . . ). But one day, after a couple of years of running/mourning, something just clicks. It isn't anything groundbreaking, he just decides to visit Harry. Maybe he can visit every once in a while, become an eccentric uncle.
Distant, but still family.
That changes when he actually gets to Privet Drive.
There isn't much of a custody battle on the Dursleys' side. Really the problem comes in the form of Dumbledore.
After a month of passive aggressive arguing an agreement is made. To stay in the country and keep up the muggle appearance, which is no problem for Remus who was raised by a muggle woman and finds more jobs that would willingly work around his illness.
OR WORSE/BETTER YET, in another world Dumbledore could not be swayed. Remus is an obedient Order member, but above all else he is Moony. Moony who could piece together scraps to make a plan. Who could lie with a straight face and improvise plans on the spot without so much as a stutter.
Moony, who was taught war tactics. Of spies, contacts/networks, safehouses, evasion, and travel through different countries.
Harry Potter was proclaimed missing the next morning, possibly kidnapped. Moony knows not to leave footprints. The Prophet continue to update it's readers any chance it can.
And maybe, someone decides to gloat/question on a visit. Or a paper was dropped.
A week after the first paper proclaiming Harry Potter was kidnapped another is published.
Sirius Black escaped Azkaban.
From here, maybe, Sirius discovers that it was Remus that took Harry. Who else can track Moony, but Padfoot? Maybe it takes another year of dodging one another and the law, before Sirius manages to send Remus a message.
Maybe afterwards, Harry is raised by his not-really-kidnapper and a not-really-convict. Maybe Wolfstar then???
From there this has a chance to go anywhere, and I really hope someone out there finds this and inspires them. Because! I! want! to! read! it!!!!
Werewolf Headcanon
As a fandom, we've debated on features that identify a werewolf. General built doesn't seem to matter seeing as Greyback is seen as a stocky man, while Lupin is a thin one. Though it can be debated that their built can be explained by Greyback being willing to do more illegal or immoral activities to provide for himself (while Lupin is pretty much willing to starve himself).
So we focus on other features, more importantly the color of their eyes and scarring on the body.
You know who else has yellow eyes? Or who probably carries scarring and injuries.
Madam Hooch.
Her job even allows her to have leeway for time, seeing as she is the flying instructor (First Years only) and quidditch referee (I don't remember if it was stated that she was also in charge of the practices). So in all, her job is much less time-consuming. As for her transformation, she is technically a teacher so she would have a floo.
Now let's stop and think about this woman taking Remus Lupin under her wing (hell, it even corresponds with my earlier Headcanon that Remus is good at flying, but just hates attention).
Am I the first to imagine this? I hope not, I need fics of this.
Motorcycle
So we know Sirius ran away from his pure blood family to another pureblood family, so who taught him how to ride a motorcycle? Also, from what we understand about technology and Magic mixing together, the motorcycle (in the whole 16+ years it's been around) never 'animated' in the way the Weasleys' car did, so we can also guess that not only did he learn to ride it, he learned the inner workings as well.
James and his family are automatically disqualified for being pureblood families themselves, so that leaves Peter and Remus.
Remus is a Half-Blood and Peter Pettigrew was never confirmed to be Half-Blood or pureblood, so either could have enlisted their families.
So now we have two things we can think about. Sirius learning about motorcycles through Remus' mother, Hope Lupin. OR Sirius learning about it through Peter's parent(s)(Seeing as the books only mentioned his mother in passing and no one else).
Basically, Sirius somehow manages to gain another mother figure when all he wanted to do was be Extra Punk.
If it was Ms. Pettigrew, James' parents and Remus' mother might have been dead already by October 1981, but she wasn't.
Hetalia Headcanon
Most of England’s colonies (previous too) call him mom, in more than one way or language for some. They even give him presents on Mothers day. England thinks they’re mocking him. They’re not. If anything, they wonder when he will finally figure it out.
Remus with a Broom
A thought just occurred to me. In so many fanfiction, fanarts, and etc. Remus is always being depicted to sucking or being scared of flying on a broom. The man was a part of the Advance Guard led by Moody. And we all know Moody’s a paranoid bastard so Remus had to be more than just competent at flying a broom, as well as combat on said broom. Needless to say, I conclude that Remus probably was awesome at flying even when he went to Hogwarts. The boy could have probably made the Quidditch team if it weren’t for his constant need to blend in to the background.
Wolfstar Pinning
From what we know about Remus, him pining silently over Sirius is very much in character. As much as I love this, I really wish there are more fics about Sirius pining after Remus. Of him trying to do it silently but fails at it because when is Sirius not loud.
