My cat is in desperate need for help! FLUTD is common in adult cats, males are more prone to problems related to obstructions due to their l
I haven't posted anything like this to tumblr in a while. But I'm really fucking scared, to be honest. I just lost a younger male cat to this disease because, after $4000, we couldn't afford the treatment or this surgery that would have saved his life. We're scrambling to save every cent. I'm disabled. I can't work. I'm fighting for disability. I have no income - therefore I cannot get loans or credit cards/lines - I have tried SO MANY and probably damaged my credit. We've made, and are making, drastic changes in the house to make sure Bean is set up for success. Running water bowls, better litter, he's on a prescription diet, he has pain/anxiety meds to keep him zen and reduce any inflammation of the urethra.
I'm posting this everywhere I can. This boy is so very special. I think I would genuinely lose a piece of me if he died before his time. He is 8 years old. He promised me at least 12 more years. We have so many talks, legitimate conversations - this boy has sass. He LOVES love. Always wanting space with his people, pets, aggressive love rubs... and while sometimes he can get a little overstimulated and nom on your hand or arm - he's the loviest, cuddliest once he knows you can be trusted. There is no greater honor than to be loved by Bean.
When people talk about soul animals... this is one, y'all.
