roda purple and show purple :) I might go the cousin route as someone who grew up with my cousins and had strong bonds with them (especially one who i genuinely consider more of a best friend than just having a familial bond).

They share dark slate blue (long ass name old they) as a grandparent which would make indigo purple’s uh. there is no gender neutral word for aunt/uncle. auntle? unclaunt. someone help me.

ANYWAY uh cousin route would just make things less convoluted than shoving a character into the immediate family would? also my goat qwertydog17 reminded me show purple lies about calling their cousin and like. sure that was a lie. but maybe they actually do have a cousin they were just so used to pinning things on rodaPurple as a kid that their brain defaulted to using them for their excuse before realizing “SHIT I CANT TALK ABOUT THEM” and making up a random name. It would be pretty weird for them to have said “‘my cousin.. also Purple”

AND ABOUT THE NAME THING ☝️☝️☝️I think showPurple was just a weird kid. just a weirdo. and they had a phase where they looked up to rodaPurple so much they started copying everything they were doing, some real “i NEED THEIR AURA” kinda thing LOLL so one day they were like yeah my name’s also Purple, that’s just how cool I am.

also about the “who had that idea first?” retort rodaPurple is giving showPurple is that uhmmmm i think after the reactor incident and being blacklisted from getting a job and all that shit showPurple just sort of. cut off their family. both out of pride and not wanting to be a “charity case” and fear of being seen as a disappointment, probably thinking once again about rodaPurple and their successful career (well.. before they became an imposter and killed 2 people and died ❤️)

so uh yknow. hearing about a horrible reactor explosion that fucked up a whole colony where your cousin was working and then Never Hearing From Them Again would probably make you assume something horrible happened to them and it’s only a matter of time before word reaches you than a rescue team finally found their body! 😭😭😭

AS FOR MY FAVORITE TRAINER. wait i have to think about this……ive always been a little abnormal about lillie . one of my friends mentioned i have an affinity for being weird about nervous or socially awkward women (gwen stacy, supergirl, starfire, whisper t wolf, yada yada yada) so obviously lillie is going in the roster. she’s so adorable i want to shake her around like a chew toy OHHH MY GIRL MY GIRL also i love her vibe in general. the hat ? amazing. the hair ? gorgeous. the alolan vulpix ? that’s one of my favorite pokemon too ……. you know, there’s a reason you’ve never seen us in the same room………

i also like team star, iono + grusha (scarvio) as well as allister and piers from swsh !!!

it is stupid funny to me that Infinite returned from a 9(?) year absence RIGHT in time to find some lady lifting his entire aesthetic right down to the species and Anubis theme ... she even beat him to doing museum heists and beefing with Team Chaotix in the interrim ..... call-out post for Enigma the Jackal, STOLE his cool style even though it's all he has in this world !!!! MEAN TO HIM

anyway, I wanted to draw them because I think they should hang out :) I think they would not get along and it would be really funny. maybe she's a former member of his old squad or something. there's a story here
