You ended a giveaway half an hour ago. You have 3 anons asking if they are too late to get the pokemon. It is their favorite pokemon. You are not sure about that.

You have just finished cloning 2 boxes of a pokemon. You forgot to add the held item.

There are 3 asks in your inbox. One is from a spamblog. One is an absurdly specific request. The last one reads “happy birthday”. It is not your birthday.

You get an ask that says they’ve deposited for the giveaway. You are not currently doing a giveaway. You boost another giveaway 5 minutes ago.

The server is down for maintenance. You do not remember an announcement about this maintenance. You do not know why they need to perform maintenance.

4 deposits have misspelled your code in 4 unique ways. You are not sure yourself how it was spelled to begin with.

You are sure that the pokemon’s level is 50. You have triple-checked that the pokemon’s level is 50. Every deposit is for level 21-30. You check the post. You check the pokemon. You are not longer sure which is correct.

An anon states that they won’t use hacked pokemon in their game. You insist that the fact that the pokemon is a clone makes it hacked anyway. You can faintly hear the discordant screaming of several followers. This gives you an odd sense of satisfaction.

You enter the tag of your deposit pokemon. There are no deposits. You back out and go back in, back out and back in, and realize that you have been in the tag just below it for 5 minutes.

Someone asks you if they can still have a pokemon. You do not recall having done that pokemon recently. You look back in your blog. The giveaway this person is asking about is from several months ago. It is dated. You feel your stomach sink.

You have not received a thank-you in months. You cannot recall ever receiving a thank-you, when you stop to think. It has always been this way.

“Giveaways are fun,” you say when you are asked why you do them. “Giveaways are fun.” you see other giveaway bloggers say. “Giveaways are fun,” everyone says all at once. The sound echoes in an empty space. You aren’t sure if you believe it.

The official Japanese Pokemon website has just announced that players can download Mew to their Japanese copies of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire via Wi-Fi starting February 27th, the 20th anniversary of Pokemon. It will come at Level 5 and will only know Pound.
