I almost feels like this goes without saying, buuuuut...

I won’t be posting on this blog anymore.

Seeing as tumblr has seen fit to ban this blog without...you know, actually banning it, I’ve decided that this is my (quite literal) sign from the folks upstairs that it’s time for me to make that multimuse.

So, as a result, over the holiday break, I will be reworking my Yang blog (which at the current time is named sombustiel) into a rwby multimuse RP blog. This will feature OCs and canon characters--and I’ll be making it with the goal of being able to write out long, plotted threads with my RP partners. 

Thanks for sticking around everybody--it’s been fun.

Looking around him, Satoshi let out a soft ‘Ah-ha’ when he saw the his notebook for cases. Tearing a piece of paper off, he quickly wrote down the man’s instructions in case he did turn malevolent. Got it. 

“You’re welcome. And thank you…”

He was just going to have to find this guys urn. Oh well. He had tomorrow off. He and Soroi would do it. And if Edward asked? …Er…He’d come to that bridge when he crossed it. 

“I’m positive the only person who would be able to see you is my mother. Who knows, though? Maybe my hypothetical child will be able to see you. We’ll just have to wait in the future.”

“Oz...Ozymandius. That...that was my name, last I recall...” he rubs the back of his head, “As for Edward--I’d suggest sitting him down and telling him. I will be there to assist if you’d like. I can move things around as proof, or...you know, do whatever else you need?” Oz shrugged,

“...I think I was set on fire after I was buried...”

He wondered if that had been Kit’s issue too. That she just couldn’t move on. Except, unlike this man, she was bound to her grave. And Edward, in a sense, but… Hm. Alright. Satoshi had no problems with ghosts. Edward did but he couldn’t see them anyway. And…

This guy gave them no problems. 

“Alright.”

He gave his new friend a kind smile before stretching. “I’ll do that. I can take you with us to still hang around our new place. That’s cool. You’re not a troublesome ghost. …But, if you want to rest, is there anyway to help you move on?”

Oz wanted to break down and sob. Finally--someone who could listen and would listen. Instead, however, a simple grin came to his face as he tried his best to calmly explain.

“I...yes, in the event that I do become malevolent, all you would have to do is put my ashes in wellwater, mix them in, then pour the water over an open flame. That’s all.”

He folds his hands, “...Otherwise, however? My new mission will be to protect and guide you and yours as need be. Well, those who can speak with me, anyhow.” he folded his hands, “...Thank you, Satoshi. From the bottom of my soul.”

“You’re not the first ghost I’ve talked to. My husband, uh, lost his sister a long time ago. She was hanging around us for awhile. I…Was the only one who could see her out of the two of us.”

He paused, before cringing. He hated the way things had ended between him and Kit. He should never have yelled at her like that. Jeez… 

“…I hope so. I already looked up the process to adopt a child and even as someone who studied law? Family law is absolutely terrible.” 

….

“…Yes. Er. Wait. You’re not possessing me. But beyond that? Sure. What’s up.”

“What? N-no, ghosts can’t--ghosts can’t possess people, Sat. We can sense and influence souls to a degree, sure, but we can’t--” Right, off-topic.

“Uh...my request is just...that you either take me with you or let me rest. I’ve...had enough. And I don’t know how to move on. So...I’m just stuck here.” he shrugs. 

“...I think I’m in one of the walls. Ashes, so you could probably carry me in a bag or an urn or something. Just...please don’t leave me here.” He looked over at Satoshi, eyes pleading--a kind old man, stuck far beyond his time. “...Please.”

“Well, we can’t exactly stay here forever…” 

So he WAS A GHOST. He sat up straighter, narrowing his eyes before sighing. Okay. Maybe ghost was… Not the best phrase. But what was he even? A hallucination? Oh God. 

“That’s the plan…” He bit his lip, looking at the floor. “We’d like to have a kid or two one day. We can’t raise a kid in this place. There’s not enough room. Honestly, our plan was to move LAST year but shit got all fucked up and we couldn’t.”

He paused. 

“We don’t have a day for when we’ll be moving. But it’ll be nice to move on. Finally settle in on happier times.”

“Yes, I am.” 

Oz knew they had been dancing around the topic for a little bit now--but oh well. Better out there in the open, right? “I’ve...been here a long time. It’s not all bad, of course--I get to say hello to new people, and most of them are fairly nice. The ones who aren’t...I usually just hide. It does get lonely, though.”

A pause--it was a lot of information to take in, he knew that. A smile and a nod of understanding. 

“If how you treat him is any indication, a child would be lucky to have you two as parents.”

...

“I-I...have a request, before you leave, if you’d allow it of me?”

“He’s been here longer than I have.”

He sighed, crossing his arms as he looked up at the ceiling. He gnawed on his lip as he tried to remember the timeline in his head. “He moved in here a few years ago with an ex…. I moved in over a year ago now. We’re actually in the process of moving out. It’s about time we moved on, you know?”

He sighed, closing his eyes. 

“I like it ‘cause it’s super close to the ocean. Our new place is actually going to be right on the shore. It’s going to be super nice.”

“You’re...leaving?” the man blinks, adjusting his glasses, “...I see. That’s...a shame. I was hoping I’d get to know you a little better before something happened and one of you had to move out.”

A tired sigh as he looked away, “...At least you’ll be heading onto happier times together, no?” He offers, trying to present this as happily as possible, even though he was being abandoned. Again.

What was he even supposed to say to that. Satoshi sighed, shrugging as he sat in his seat. Crossing his legs, he sat back in it. 

“N-No. That’s fine. I don’t mind.” 

Maybe this dude was a ghost? He talked to his ghost sister-in-law before. Then pissed her off and now she hasn’t come back for a few months. But this guy didn’t need to know that. 

“Uh. What do you wanna talk about?”

“The weather, of course,” Oz joked, laying his head back in self-amusement. His words were quick and sudden--sharp as a knife.

“...I don’t know. How long have you two been here? Most people don’t like this apartment because of its location.” There was also the fact that this place was steeply discounted thanks to a bloody history, but that was small details.

The question wounds him. It wounds him so deeply and in such a catastrophic manner he almost collapses to the floor in gut-wrenching pain. After he manages to recover, however...

“...Dorothy, Fiyera, Danta, and Nickela. Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.”

Taking the cloth, Satoshi began to wrap his hand with it. Until……

Wait……..

He locked the front door. When he got home today, he locked the front door. He locked the front door. 

“How did you get in my apartment? I mean, technically it’s my husband’s since my name isn’t on the lease but-How did you get in here?”

“I’m showing up with materials I used to help you without a second thought--and you’re asking me how I got in?”

“...” Sigh.

“...I didn’t come in through the front door--the apartment is safe, don’t worry.” Oz slid down and sat, motioning for Satoshi to do the same. “...I mean you no harm--I brought you medicine, didn’t I? I’d just like to talk for a few minutes, if you don’t mind.”

He sighed as he finally took out the last piece of glass before pressing a cloth to his hand. Fuck fuck fuck. 

“God. Can nothing go right?”

Oz sighs and hands him a cloth with some disinfectant. “Put that on, wrap it around your hand and tie it tightly.”
