Still think Sydcarmy could already be together offscreen as the big legerdemain.

So many visual and script hints in S3/4 of Syd thinking of leaving the restaurant but not him (he’s her partner) and him leaving the restaurant but not her (he’s her friend) so she can do what she loves.

Just the inversion and missed communication of it all! Not being honest about real feelings is felt all throughout S4 plus Gary.

Friends and partners and relationships gone sideways. Carmy gets out of Syd’s way but that’s not what she really wants.

Carmy couldn’t make himself love Claire. Claire was performative as well and never got to really know him in any deep way.

Syd thought Shapiro giving her everything she wanted might make her happy about her career, but it never felt genuine to her or inspired her.

Francine and Nat holding onto an unspoken grudge only to realize they’re still sentimental about each other after all this time. But it doesn’t get in the way of what Nat and Pete have now (Claire = Francine).

Gary showing that Tiff was Richie’s wife, but never his partner. It was Mikey, but they were never honest with each other, and in the end no one got the love they needed/wanted.

Syd and Carmy finally starting to communicate and Richie and Nat interrupting them as a cliffhanger.

It’s going to storm like a dam breaking. Like a pot boiling over.
