boosting
I used to hit Walmart like a crazy person. I'm talking 4 Walmarts each trip. Makeup mostly... I would boost and it would go really well. Like I was having $600+ pay outs from it. So anyway. I stopped. I stopped because people were soooo demanding online. Like they were so much. Shipping was a lot of work, too. I used to post big lots and let people select what they want from a list, then make them their own lot. Too much work. What single items boost well? I just wanna post an item and that be it. Not interested in doing a lot of lot making anymore.
Don’t be a dumbass tips pt1:
-If you’re going to make a small purchase to avoid suspicion, use cash. I have heard stories of people being caught with credit card info, but what I’ve personally witnessed and is probably more common is stores saving a pic of you lfting on cam and your name from your credit card and passing it along to other stores in the same chain to help you get caught later on.
-Teenage girls in groups are sussed automatically, especially in high-end stores. Try to look older, or try to make at least one person in the group look like an adult, and that person should be the one who does the riskiest stuff. Do not come in together, do not leave together, and do not interact at all, if you must communicate do so by text, and use codewords. I’ve seen the cops take the phone of suspected boosters who were caught but some of this varies state to state. Especially do not come in as a group of teenagers, whisper to each other, giggle, and point at stuff you plan to lft.
-If you’re going to use an item that came off a table to put on one of your hangers to disguise that you took something, put that item back yourself, do not leave it with a fitting room attendant; they know which items have hangers and which don’t. Same goes for items you double tagged.
-If you get sussed heavily or an SA tells you they’re on to you, TAKE NOTHING. DITCH EVERY SINGLE ITEM. Don’t think “well she didn’t see me with that so that one is okay.” Doesn’t matter which item they saw you with, there’s still a good chance they’ll ask to search your bag. I remember being thirteen and dumb as a fucking doornail and, after an SA at 4ev21 asked me if I wanted a necklace to go with the earrings I stashed in my purse, thinking “lol she didn’t see I already took a necklace!” and paying for the earrings and still lfting other stuff. Somehow??? I didn’t get caught. Maybe she didn’t tell the manager, maybe there were less cameras then? I don’t know but every time I think about that story I want to go back in time and smack myself for being so stupid. I deserved to get caught.
-If the place asks to scan IDs for returns without a receipt, don’t fucking do it. VS stores in my area do absolutely jack shit about lfters. It’s comical. A friend worked for a company contracted to do security for them before Christmas and confirmed they don’t chase, they don’t confront, they don’t do shit. But the one thing they do? Compare IDs scanned from returns with thefts on cam. That’s all they do, and the most likely way someone will get caught. Boost that shit instead.

this needs more notes tbh
Well
Well, I will say I did steal the butter pecan syrup from IHOP and I don't feel bad.
Does anyone else
Does anyone else feel like they've slowed down a lot? I find myself paying for things often now. I work for Ult@ so I don't lift from there anymore. I dunno. I just feel like I have so much going on and I'm too distracted 24/7 to even want to lift.
is there anything you can wrap or carry a magnet in to protect it from damaging electronics (or yourself!) i have a n52 magnet that's ridiculously strong and i'm always scared to just carry it around
Yeah I don't carry a magnet.
this is perfect for lifting makeup! depending on the bag and size of the slit you make, you can make pallets disappear. i did not in this video but i highly recommend grabbing a decoy as well so you have something to put back on the shelf. i’m also much more discreet about it in real life. repost if you found helpful and good luck! 😉
Lmao I was not expecting that.
Babylifter: how do I lift from best buy
Experienced lifter: *stands on a cliff, squinting at the horizon, a breeze flows through their hair* not even the most experienced lifter travels to those lands
this show kept it real
Finally replaced my work pants. First time at my JCP in years. Omg it was stupid easy. Only jeans were tagged and my magnet worked on their inktags 😊 Only downfall is I ran out of space in my bag
208.10
tbh i work at JCP and we have to tag all nike and all arizona stuff but other stuff we don’t tag. we’re not allowed to accuse anyone of shoplifting either, just CS them to death (and i mean to death. two of my managers follower a lady for three hours). i personally work in one of the smaller stand alone stores, so i don’t know how true the rest of this is, but apparently our cameras are fake, our dressing rooms are unattended, and we only have regional LP visits when we take a big hit in a high shrink area. do with this what u will but honestly it’s a buffet. also all of our tags are magnets, even on shoes (although some are stronger than others), no hooks at all.
Interesting info about JCP! Thanks☺️ By chance do you know anything about JCP Sephora??
Depending on your JCP (former employee) there's LP that specifically watch Sephora. Cameras everywhere but it's really easy if it's busy because of how many people pack the tiny place. Super easy to have something in your hand and then all of a sudden it's disappeared to wherever you conceal. Just keep moving and don't stare at the cameras but be aware of where they are. Get in, get out.
Sephora/JCP Sephora is usually the last place I hit so I can just walk out and leave the mall.
I was at walmart and saw a sign, maybe this is already known but I'm not sure. If associates ask other associates if theyve seen Bob, Lisa or Mitch - those stand for Bottom of Basket, Look Inside products and Merchandise In the Customers Hand or On the Person. just thought i would let ppl that lift from walmart know!
Thank you anon!💖
Yo
Otterslift did not delete because of drama. She deleted because liftblr-twat created a Reddit account called Revenge seeker and was spamming her to the point that it was absolutely ridiculous. Instead of messaging her or doing something else she was trying to get revenge because this girls 16. What otterslift did was to try to purge trash out of the community because eventually that would have been found by someone else. And it would have made everybody look bad. I’d prefer a pre-emptive strike the way otterslift did then someone just stumbling across that because that piece of trash was only getting Bolder and Bolder. She was actually taking a lot of our posts and adding her own little notes and hashtags because she was getting overconfident. So her leaving is a very temporary thing, otterslift that is.
The actual piece of trash is on the site somewhere but she’ll be easy to find because of the way she types and because she takes the exact same type of crap. But otterslift will be back
I’m not leaving. We’ll end up on Reddit again because people never learn and will continue to do very messed up stuff like this. What that girl was trying to do otterslift was truly atrocious, instead of being civil because she was given the opportunity to be civil and just delete the post instead of doing that, she decides to make a fake account and spam otterslift. There’s a whole lot of story before this shit getting outed on Reddit. She took the low road, lifter twat that is, because she knows no other Road.
A lot of people on here saying they don’t like drama and all that. Well neither do we. But we also know where to draw the line. There’s a huge Line in the Sand right now. We have a lot of new people coming on here. If this is the kind of crap you support then it’s good to know so we don’t waste time trying to help you. But don’t mistake otterslift leaving for cowardice or because she was sick of drama. And she never once threatened lifter twat, yes, it was put on Reddit because lifter twat was given a million opportunities to be apologetic or to remove the crap and it would have never had to leave the community but that was all she did. That post is still gaining traction as we speak.
attention!
calling all active lifters! if u see this post pls reblog! im trying to find more active people to talk to and swap stories and tips with because everyone i seem to be following seems to be deactivated.
y'all you can play ulta
if you have the money to buy, you can buy the stuff, get the free gift (online usually), then return it in store but get to keep the gift. I just got that juicy couture backpack with a large fragrance order but I'm gonna return the perfume lol @ them
Me? Shoplift? It depends...
Lmao one time my friend lifted like 15-20 pairs of underwear from Pink, she put all of them on and then as she was about to leave this random person (plainclothes LP) asked her what was in her pants and why they are so bulky. They were super smug like they had caught her.
This fucking girl replies with “I wear depends because I have problems with bladder leakage, asshole.” And then she just walks out of the store 😂
He kinda snapped out of being shocked and went to chase her but she was long gone lmao.

10 top ways shoplifters get caught
This was written by an LP, i merely copied and pasted it. REBLOG AND INFORM
Despite what you may have heard, there is no perfect shoplifting method. You can be caught NO MATTER how you try to steal. A lot of it is the luck of the draw. Is LP in the store? Are they busy with another shoplifter? Are they watching you? There is no way you can be sure. You can be sure however, that you significantly increase your chances of getting yourself caught when:
10)You carry a flat purse or back-pack: Fairly obvious, right? Not only is this an attention grabber, but it also makes the LP Agent’s job much easier. Your bag was flat, and then magically became full right after all the merchandise you were carrying disappeared. Did the LP Agent watch you fill your bag? That does not really matter. The LP Agent did not need to see concealment (See my article: The 6 Steps of Loss Prevention) to confidently make a stop on you. It is fairly obvious. Most LP Agents will make that stop. On top of being obvious, entering a store with an empty bag can also bump your charge from petty theft to burglary.
9)You over-act: You pick up the item you plan on stealing. You begin tapping on it, wiggling it, playing with it, and looking around like everything is cool. Yes, people actually think this works. When you take this approach you are basically telling LP Agents “Hey, I am not going to steal this! Look, I’m playing with it out in the open. I wouldn’t be doing that if I were going to steal it.” Then you steal it. Happens all the time.
8)You under-act: You pick up the item you are going to steal and immediately palm the item, or hold it behind something. You then quickly walk off to the most deserted part of the store. The race is on. The LP Agent knows he needs to get a view of you, either on camera or on the floor to witness the concealment.
7)You are overly friendly: You come in and immediately start chatting with store employees. You’re such a nice person! You would never steal. This will work when trying to deceive regular workers but LP is not falling for it. I have even had employees try to stop me from making an apprehension because they thought I was going to make a bad stop on that “nice” person. When I see someone being overly friendly with cashiers, managers or anybody with a name tag, I immediately become suspicious. They could be a genuinely nice person but nice people steal too.
6)You fail the “scare test”: When I suspect somebody is a shoplifter I will often give them the scare test. This means I will have several people walk past the area where my suspect is looking at items. A normal shopper will pay little to no attention to who is around them. A nervous shoplifter will turn their head at everyone that passes by. Often times they will look them up and down evaluating whether or not they seem like an undercover. When this happens it is a good indicator that I should set up on this person and wait for them to “go”.
5)You are bringing non-clothing items into the fitting room: Some people actually think that if they conceal merchandise in the fitting room that they can not be arrested by Loss Prevention Agents. This is because it eliminates the possibility of the LP Agent’s step # 3. This might work on some LP Agents, but certainly not the one’s that are good at what they do. If I see someone bringing something into the fitting room that is not supposed to be tried on such as DVDs, Jewelry, makeup, etc., they have my full attention until I see them exit the fitting room carrying that merchandise. Believe me, bringing stuff into the fitting room is a false sense of security and it will get you caught.
4)You are leaving an evidence trail: You select the item you want to steal. You are not sure if the item will make the door beep or not so you decide to remove the item from the package. Or maybe you want to pretend the item was already your’s so you rip the tags off. Now you can conceal the item. However, you also need to rid yourself of the package. So you discard it on the shelf, or you hide it behind something. You just made the LP Agents job 95% easier. Maybe they did not see you conceal the item, but they did see you toss something down or hide something. They find the package. Now LP knows what the item is, they know you removed it from the package (this is vandalism and is illegal), and they know you are up to no good. When you walk out of the store, all the LP Agent needs to do is approach you with the empty package and demand that you return the item. They will likely tell you that you are on video opening it (you may or may not be). They will tell you that if you do not return the item you will be charged with vandalism (this trick is likely against their LP policy but it is completely legal). Once you produce the item you are under arrest for theft. It is a lose-lose situation that you created by leaving a trail of packages and tags.
3)You have “shifty” eyes: Everyone knows that you are not supposed to blatantly look for cameras or look around for people when you are going to steal. However, it seems that the majority overcompensates. When you look up to the ceiling and then side to side without moving your head, you have “shifty eyes”. Shifty eyes get shoplifters caught every day. In fact, if I am about to give up on a perspective shoplifter and they shift their eyes, I will watch them until they leave the store, no exceptions.
2)You use two hands: As an LP Agent, nothing catches my eye more than somebody with both hands on the sales shelf. When an honest shopper looks at a product of interest on the sales shelf, they typically take the item in one hand and remove it from the shelf to look at it in the open. When a shoplifter puts both hands on a product and does not remove the object from the shelf it is a DEAD GIVE AWAY that they are opening something. I have caught shoplifters that I otherwise would not have even noticed simply because they used two hands!
1)You just plain look like a shoplifter: You know who you are! This is by far the most common reason people get caught. If you fit the stereotypical profile of someone who would likely shoplift you are likely being watched as an “easy stat”. So if you have 10 facial piercings, and a bright green mohawk, or if you’re just a shady looking character, don’t do it.
REBLOG AND HELP A FRIEND
My Idea #1 for Averting Suspicion While Searching for Tags
If someone ever comes up to you and tries to CS you while you’re searching a product to see if/where/how its tagged, just tell them you were checking to see if it was cruelty free/vegan/hypoallergenic/exipration date.
The word vegan also applies to purses, bags, wallets, and shoes- if they’re made from leather they’ll have a little ‘pelt’ sign on them (looks like an outline of a sheepskin rug).
Cruelty-Free products- whether lotion, cosmetics, or perfume- should have the PETA leaping bunny on them. Make-up also expires and has an expiration date. If your face is really beat and you look old enough you can say that you were planning on buying a new palette but wanted to check the expiration date before using it on clients. If your face isn’t as beat you can say that you wanted to buy a palette but since you don’t wear make-up much you wanted to see how long it would last before it expired.
This is a really good excuse when unboxing Naked palettes to make sure they don’t have tags on the inside because all the information including ingredient lists are in the inside, under the box.
I’d like to add something:
For palettes, it isn’t sus if you tell the SA you’re checking to see if any of the shadows/pans are broken. You can say you bought one that was broken once and had to return it and how it was such a pain that now you just check every time
For foundations and Concealers I just tell them I'm making sure they aren't opened. Some people disregard testers and open new products. Rude as hell.
