I’m interested in what exactly the administration here will be doing to address the issues we are clearly experiencing with security at this school. First in-person, now all of our technology? You think so? I’m flattered, thanks for saying that. That’s the goal so I’m hoping it works, I’d like to see everyone lifted out of their misery at this point. As far as my ideas go, really they just kind of come to me. Sometimes I get inspiration from past projects I’ve worked on. Sometimes it’s something I see, or even read in another newspaper. Your curiosity is intriguing, can I ask why you’re curious?

Now that most everyone has had a chance to get settled down after everything that happened over the holidays, I’ve been brainstorming ways to try and get the focus off all the crazy shit that went down. So, I’m thinking I’ll start with doing a new piece for the school newspaper. Every couple of weeks, I’ll interview a student, and write up the interview to include in The Academite. That way we’ll get a chance to learn something new about people, and hopefully it’ll brighten things up around here. Let  me know if you want to be involved, and I’ll add you to my list of interviewees.

I did see the movies, they’re two of my favorites. I was happy to see the school put on a couple of lesser known ones. Or at least not watched as much. Tough girl, huh? I haven’t heard of any parties going on, but we can always make our own.

I had such fantastic competition I wouldn’t have minded losing to, that being said, I think she would make an excellent number 2 and am glad to have my best friend Del right by my side. Congratulations on the win, you deserve it. You had great answers to your survey too which helped secure the vote in my mind. I’m sure in the mind of others too. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do Madame President. I can promise I’m not the person you want in Glee Club but will you let me know when you’re scheduling your first performance for? honestly, homeschooling was a bit lonely… i think i would’ve liked to go to school with other people. however, that’s why i’m so excited to be here at luxe! nice to meet you, lilian. i’m xīnyán. i’ll be sure to check out the newspaper! i’m a terrible writer though, so i definitely wouldn’t be much help with it. i will absolutely be frequenting the dining hall often. the food there is pretty good. have you been at luxe long?

I guess things always look better from the other side of the fence. School was hard not because of the content but because people are assholes just as a general rule. Things are pretty much the same anywhere you go though so you’ll get the experience either way. Cool to meet you too, I think this is the part where I’m supposed to say “welcome”. Great, I’m still deciding if I’m going to be putting out a physical copy or keeping things strictly digital, but either way I’ll make an announcement once I decide. That’s chill, it’s not for everyone. If everyone was a writer we woudn’t have any readers. Yeah, no arguments there. They’ve got a really banging grilled chicken sandwich on Wednesdays. I’ve been here a little over a month, finding I’m just now really starting to settle. Have you picked classes yet?

I’ve fallen behind already which sucks but I’ll get back on track. I always do. Aren’t you a lucky duckling, having been homeschooled? I begged my parents for that but never got anywhere. My name is Lilian Ortiz, and I’m the Editor of the school newspaper. If that’s something you’re interested in even remotely I’m always on the lookout for new writers. I’m partial to the dining hal, but that’s because I can’t really afford much else. The food there is free with the scholarship. I’m sure one of the richies around here could direct you to something a little fancier.
