Privated my 🧬 post as it’s been getting a lot of attention, figured there’s enough reposts for people to still find it so it’s fine.
Recently i’ve been moving away from 🧬 s and just claiming an item from the package is missing.
This works 100% of the time and has never resulted in an investigation (except Gämëstöp). Usually i’ll just order two of what i want, let’s say i’ll order two Fënty Glow lipglosses (but i only really want one). I’ll claim i only received one, get the refund for the one gloss i’m keeping, and i’ll return the other. Ez whole refund with no investigations or chance of being flagged~

First things first: do you have a magnet or hook? Some locations use hook tags while others use magnet tags. If you do, then you can get whatever you want. If not, you’ll have to look specifically for untagged shit. Basically to lift, I only use a big F21/äëröpöstälë bag, jacket and my purse. When concealing clothing I use those the shopping bag or body conceal. Second: I browse around, act very interested, ask a question or two max. Then I get a few things in my hands and get a shopper. I add more items (things I want and some decoys), go into the fitting room, and do my thing. They rarely count for me and if they do it doesn’t matter since usually going out there’s no one even there. While detagging I’ll move around some of the hangers (get some items on hangers!). I’ll just put them in my shopping bag when I’m done, or wear them under whatever i’m wearing (bras, shirts, etc). For the rare occasion when I do put items in my purse, I will fold the items. For tags, I put them in my booster bag. If you don’t have one of these, just bring in a few hooded items or items with pockets. Now the trick is to tag the item where the hoodie covers the back, or INSIDE the pocket so the tag can’t be seen.

This is amazing news! 🥰
heads up for s3ph0r@
DO NOT LEAVE THE PACKAGING BEHIND. seen so many tiktoks lately talking about catching l1fters at s3ph0ra. one of the BIGGEST things they say is that leaving the box behind is the worst thing you can do !!!!!!!! most things are NOT TAGGED INSIDE and removing the box to leave in on the shelf is an awful idea. it’s basically telling the staff “hey i stole something and i’ll leave lots of evidence behind for you to catch me!” don’t leave an evidence trail. if something is tagged on the outside try your best to peel it off or find an untagged one. no the barcode will not beep. just take the box with you PLEASE.
this used to be common knowledge i thought but lately i think there’s a lot of misconception about the boxes. my friends who work in retail tell me that they literally collect all the boxes from the shelves afterwards and they now know exactly what has been stolen and can track it on the cameras. certain s3ph0ra even have bins of empty boxes to track what is taken most often and will use that to crack down on security in those areas.
grocery lyfting 101
hello my pretties today i wanna talk about groceries! as much as i try to keep my page as vague and lyfting-centered as i can, some things do need to be addressed like with my standing in solidarity with palestine and congo and sudan. a certain orange skinned president has cut funding and accessibility to snap/ebt starting november and onwards unless or until the government can come out of this shut down. when that does happen, the amount of people receiving benefits will be heavily reduced, due to there being new restrictions and criteria for being approved for the program. because of this we will most likely be seeing a large influx of people lyfting, especially in grocery stores. in times like these we need to stand with our community and do what we can to give aid if we are able, and if you are someone who’s been affected by this shutdown or will be affected in the future, i hope the people in YOUR community will rise and do the same thing. i am one person who’s food stamps have been cut and i am fortunate and privileged enough to still be cared for and taken care of during these times, very few people relying on stamps are as lucky i am. please remember to be kind and compassionate while we all figure out how to proceed. now let’s move onto the grocery tips!
ATTIRE - attire will heavily depend on who you are and what you look like, for me as an almost white passing hispanic woman, i don’t have to put as much effort into my appearance as say a black woman or a darker skinned woman. unfortunately in the system we live in, you WILL be more suspected if you have darker skin, so it’s important to be careful and scope out the area before going for it. if you are white or white passing, id recommend wearing something casual, pajama pants, a graphic t shirt, jeans, no jackets or hoodies. for visibly poc people id recommend dressing up a little more, jeans and a going out top, something less baggy, hair or makeup done, to give the vibe that you have money and will be spending it here. this is all for the initial impressions store associates will get from you. if you are alternative i HIGHLY recommend toning it way down for your lyfting trip because alternative people will always been suspected over non-alt people. i currently have dyed hair so i will usually compensate by being extra kind or chatty with the workers as it breaks down their initial barrier and suspicion.
CAMERAS - cameras in grocery stores are often fewer and farther between than in retail stores or malls and in my experience they’re not USUALLY monitored, however it’s still good practice to find a place to conceal before doing so. i’d recommend the pet food aisle or maybe the baking/utensils aisle. it’ll be different for every store so scope it out!
CONCEALING - there are multiple methods when it comes to lyfting at grocery stores now thanks to self checkout, but if you’re afraid of it like me, you can use this method. in a perfect world, ill bring my big cooler grocery bag and i’ll put a few disposable bags inside, if possible ill throw in some groceries i already have like pasta or jarred/canned goods in there before i leave to make it look like ive just been to another store. once im in the store ill fill my cart with things i need and once im clear from the cams ill put the most expensive things into my grocery bags in the cooler bag. id highly recommend making a list on doordash beforehand that way you can see the prices and whats in stock in real time. i always pick the most expensive items to conceal and then purchase the cheaper things if i have the funds. this also allows you to try cuts of meat that were maybe out of your budget before! once ive concealed everything i want, ill zip up my refrigerator bag and go to check out. this usually sits under the seat in the cart. in my experience they never ask me to unzip and show them, but if for some reason they do, go ahead and unzip and show them and tell them it’s from another store you just came from. as long as you have mostly generic store products in there they won’t be able to tell the difference and they cannot go through your bag.
OTHER METHODS - there are a few other methods I’ll tell you about though i will not recommend them because they are riskier! higher reward perhaps but more dangerous. the first method is very easy and simple, fill your cart with all your groceries, walk straight out the door and get into your car and LEAVE. this ONLY works if your grocery store is laid out to where the exit and entrance are both unblocked and there’s no security guard. many stores i’ve been to HAVE security and have little automatic gates that open and close. again, if you’re going to use this method, SCOPE OUT the store beforehand. the second method is the self checkout switcharoo, where you can either swap barcode stickers IF your store allows you to peel them off and restick them, OR where you hold something smaller and cheaper over the barcode of the original item when scanning. i do not recommend this method because stores have been catching onto this. please proceed with caution if you decide this method is right for you. the last method is not full proof but can result in a few saved items, where you put items under the cart on the lower portion and hope the cashiers forget to scan. this actually happened to me the other day at h m@rt and i saved $65 on a stand-alone grill for hotpot and my instant rice!
GETTING CAUGHT - i can’t exactly speak on this because i have never been caught at a grocery store, id imagine if you only took a few items it would be a matter of giving those items back and being on your way, however a higher total may be more tricky. if there is security you should ONLY use the first method, because they can’t prove you’re lyfting UNLESS they’ve been watching cams, and if there’s security up front there is PROBABLY no one watching the cams. if there is no security and one of the associates catches you on your way out, i would recommend running. run WITH the cart if you can! they will 9/10 not chase. if they catch you before you leave the store, simply explain that you’re just shopping and you’re extremely offended that they would accuse you, take your items out and leave. maybe threaten that you’ll take legal action, i probably would lol.
in conclusion, grocery stores are one of the easiest places for me personally. i never pay for oil or expensive cheeses or meats, and you can too! reminder to be kind and cautious in the weeks and months to come <3 love you all endlessly
Super valuable info. 🙏
don’t get caught afterward
can i stress enough that after you leave you successfully it may be possible for you to still be caught?
safety precautions for all lifters:
Don’t park where cameras can see your license plates. Furthermore, park it between lots of cars. (Great if you have a tiny car… like me… haha)
If you wanna park closer- cover license plate somehow. Fake license plate (be careful, attach at gas station nearby? or in empty parking lot idk) If in cold weather, USE SNOW!! PACK IT ON your license plate after you get out of car. This might just work for me because I’m from a BRRR climate…
Don’t return to places too quickly if it’s obvious SAs know you’re a habitual shoplifter at their location.
Disguises. Don’t be the cool alt-person ever. Straight outta white-straight Pinterest. Neutral clothing, natural-ish hair. Hairdos that cover your face from cameras (Long wispy bangs). Distracting, but not crazy lipsticks (Plums, colors that distract from face). Appear larger, appear smaller with certain clothing. Wear shoes that change your height but not crazy platform boots or stilettos. I love uggs because they’re sturdy and I can stick makeup in them.
Don’t pay with card. Only cash, if you really need to pay. And give them a fake number if they really need it.
Don’t boost things under your legal name. God, please don’t name your mercari/depop/poshmark with your full name in the user. I ran a shoppee and my name was only connected to the Paypal. My packages even said my shop name, no problems experienced.
Stay active on your local crime forums. Facebooks pages for your area may have a photo of you on them already if you haven’t been careful enough. Especially if your hauls were blatant and exceeded a certain threshold.
If SAs look at your license plate, pop the trunk.
When removing security tags, just rehide them on other clothing in the store. Trust me, SAs know you put them on top of the mirrors and under the seats of dressing rooms…
Bag concealing should be done will full knowledge that in the USA it is extremely easy for LP to approach you and accuse of seeing you concealing and search your bag. (Known from my LP friend ((he’s OK with shoplifting… just not at his job where he doesn’t usually prosecute, he just scares haha)))
Understand higher value items have serial numbers. Try not to return them without receipt. Stores may have a database with these serial codes.
If caught, ball your eyes out and pretend it’s your first time and you’re poor. Or just run the fuck outta there preferably.
hi I haven't been around in a while but I'm still lyft1ng and going to try to be more active on here again!
I've mostly been lyft1ng groceries lately so I'm going to share my grocery technique to help anyone who needs it. (this is probably pretty basic and has most likely been shared here before but it works)
small grocery häù1 technique:
you need some reusable bags. personally I use two heavier, more structured ones, and one or two small fabric ones.
you're going to choose one of the thicker reusable bags to store your other bags inside. bend the other thicker one around the inside of that first bag to kind of hollow it out while making it look fuller than it is. then throw in your smaller fabric bags on top so it looks like it's just full of bags. basically just make it look full and position the bags inside it so that the shapes of objects won't show through the sides.
now you're going to head to the store. (i only do this at stores with self checkouts). shop normally, as if you're shopping with your own money. check prices, examine fruit and vegetables before you choose them, etc.
pick up a few things that you need until your hands are full. this is when you're going to put your groceries into your reusable bag. don't try to hide what you're doing, you're just putting things in your bag because your hands are full. tons of people do this, stores don't like it but it's not innately suspicious so long as you've acted like a paying customer (e.g. don't choose the most expensive items you can find and put them in your bag.)
I tend to keep fruits + bread in my hands because they could get crushed in the bag (plus they're cheap), as well as the majority of stuff that I pick up after this point. I usually pay for 4-5 things.
now you're going to proceed to the self-checkout and pay for the things in your hands, use one of your small reusable bags to pack your purchased groceries, and leave. don't pay for anything in your bag.
I've done this for the past month and it's worked every time. i just got $40+ of food for $11 a few days ago. and i learned this trick from someone who's been doing this far longer and it still works for them too.
there are modifications to this you can make. you can put everything in the bag as you go and then do a walkout. you can check for cams and dump into the bag in a blindspot (I personally don't always, I focus more on shopping normally and acting like I have nothing to hide, but if you've scoped ahead of time and know which blindspot you're using then go for it)
