PSA; FLAGGING POC CONTENT

OKAY FRIENDS. i was going to be productive today, but now i’m angry so – that flew out the window. but it gave me an idea that i want the @ staff to see. 

We all know about the new community guidelines, but what many of you might not know (especially if you portray white muses) is the blatant RACISM beneath it. It has come to my attention, and many others, that content containing images of POC muses have been getting FLAGGED despite the fact that there is no nudity / sexual content to it. Simply images of brown folk being flagged. It has also come to my attention that these new Guidelines have also erased many tags containing POC positivity! Such as: Black Lives Matter and Black Out. Idk if they have fixed this since (as it was pointed out pretty early on), but it still proves the fact that there is racism to this process. 

I’m making this post because I want to rally together  as many POC writers and bloggers, and bloggers and writers portraying POC muses,  who have noticed that their content has been being flagged despite not breaking any of these new community guidelines. 

If you can, please reblog this. And to the blogs experiencing this, please reach out to me via my personal blog @sparkle-senshi so I may gather blogs, writers, and proof so I may send our concerns to the staff…

`    i  wanted  to  kill  you  y’know  .    `    though  she  doubts  it  comes  as  much  of  a  shock  ,  the  words  still  fall  from  her  lips  &  she  reminds  herself  not  to  look  too  closely  at  how  the  new  member  of  their  family  feels  about  it  .  one  hand  falls  from  the  spot  on  her  hip  ,  the  other  tightening  lightly  against  bella’s  as  she  lifts  her  arm  ,  using  the  momentum  to  (  gently  )  spin  her  ,  careful  to  keep  her  standing  during  the  dance  .  the  human  still  certainly  lacks  grace  (  and  in  heels  no  doubt  !  )  but  jasper  keeps  her  steady  through  the  moves  ,  a  feat  in  itself  it  seems  .  &  as  the  music  begins  to  fade  ,  she  doesn’t  relinquish  the  hold  on  the  girl  ,  her  new  sister  .  she  still  has  things  to  say  &  jasper  is  certainly  not  one  for  any  emotional  speech  but  walking  away  doesn’t  feel  right  ,  though  she  knows  her  brother  is  itching  to  have  the  hand  she’d  stolen  moments  ago  for  a  dance  back  .  a  smile  breaks  on  her  lips  ,  for  once  not  forced  or  pained  .    `    'spose  now  wasn’t  the  RIGHT  TIME  to  say  it  but  ———  let’s  just  say  ‘m  glad  i  didn’t  .    `
