I'm sure it's been mused on before but Simon and Betty really are perfect characters to exist in tune with Adventure Time's themes. Reckless, self sacrificial abandon, contrasted by the weariness of carrying the weight of the world and the guilt it fosters. I think they complement Finn really well, especially Simon. Finn is basically just if Simon's dad loved him, right down to their outdoorsiness, obsession with princesses, inability to handle change, and weird disassociative tendencies (the crown and Finn's "vault" are the same thing to me). I really fucking like that about them and I hope something satisfying comes from it
