RE: Star Trek Starfleet Academy premiere bombing… Once again the white male trek fandom is up in arms over a Star Trek series having a leading woman as captain and no white cis leading man in site.

This happened with Star Trek Discovery, and now it’s happening with Star Trek Starfleet Academy.

On behalf of all the QUEER WOMEN TREKKIES, I FKN LOOOOOOOVE THIS NEW TREK!!!!

We get more Jett Reno (Tig Notaro) and Tilly (Mary Wiseman), the holographic doc from VOY… a pink Peanut Hamper flying thru the background. Fresh new faces whose characters are all mensches (Jay-den Kraag, a soft Klingon; Genesis Lythe, an empathetic loveable quirk; SAM, the 1st photonic in the academy who feels bit like she’s picking up where Tilly left off in representing us spectrum babes).

To the showrunners of STARFLEET ACADEMY, PLEASE KEEP UP THE AMAZING CONTENT!!! Don’t listen to the negativity. This is the content we have been waiting for. New aliens, fun missions of discovery, the burn kids figuring out how to navigate in person relationships (mimicking real life Covid kids who are having the same interpersonal issues IRL), and no boring war and fight scenes for the sake of fight scenes.
