“—Like a bunny. The real question is, when are you gonna leave me alone to die? I don’t fuckin’ deserve this before ten in the morning, I really don’t.”
“Okay, bugs. I don’t know, give me a few more hundred years and I might consider it. Oh bullshit, you deserve everything coming your way, especially before ten in the morning. Don’t even try and play the victim card, Vince.”
gullageransome:
“More then nine huh–guess you have your own circle of enemies. I suppose that just proves the point that blondes do have more fun.”
“It’s more of an angry horde, you know.. Torches.. pitchforks.. wooden bullets if I’m lucky, but who’s paying attention anymore? Oh as if you ever doubted it.”
charminglysinful:
( “You’ve never been kind to anyone in your long, long life, Lyssa. Don’t pretend like you even know the meaning of the word.” ) Noah chuckled, rolling his eyes at the thought of her even being kind. She’d only ever shown that potential to be kind with the other him, yet it had been a fleeting glimpse into the girl she might have been had he not turned her all those centuries ago. The woman she might have become had he not stolen her humanity along with her mortality. ( “But at least you’re honesty about one thing. Unfortunately for you though, I think I’ve rather taken a liking to your charm - so this is one consequence you’re either going to have to deal with or put up with.” ) There was truth behind those words, he had rather taken a shine to her - despite trying to kill her not all that long ago in the span of their lives. This truth evident in the fact there weren’t all that many people he allowed to speak to him they was she did, and also in the fact that the last time she had - he’d ran her through with a chair leg. ( “Come on now Lyssa. We both know I’m exceedingly special. How many other guys have you followed around for centuries? – And don’t try to insist that you were only looking for the truth, we both know that’s a lie.” )
“Oh shut up, I’m sure there’s someone I’ve been rather nice to. Statistically, it’s virtually impossible for there not to be more than one even. Who knows, maybe they caught me on a particularly good day.” Though most of her good days, never equated to anyone else’s. If anything, she was wired almost completely opposite. It was really only at her lowest point that Lyssa thought to reel in her rather.. eccentric ways, and even then, they were few and far between. She’d been hard pressed to find herself at such a low point in her life. “God, aren’t I fucking lucky.” She droned out with as much an unimpressed tone as her features gave away. If you don’t mind, I’d much rather ignore this consequence altogether.” Despite the all to sweet sound of her voice, it dripped with every ounce of poison she could offer Noah Carmikael himself, the one man that both deserved it and didn’t in the same breath. She wasn’t interested in him taking a liking to her charm, not anymore. “I’m sure there’s at least a handful of mindless new vampires running around that you can mess with rather than bothering me, who knows, you could find yourself a new pet.” Lyssa wasn’t bothered, she’d push and she’d push until he snapped -- she wasn’t afraid of him in any sense, and neither was she all too impressed by his attempts at civility. “You certainly do have a few screws loose... I suppose that counts as special, but then again.. you’re one among many in that sense. --- Is now a bad time to tell you that I’ve actually been following Micah around and not you? He thought you could use a little spark in your life, but it turns out I’m madly in love with him and have been for years.” Mock sarcasm became her as much as chaos and destruction ever did as she pinned Noah with a blank stare. “We’re done here.”
“--- And that is the story of how your brother ended up staining my favorite louboutins. I’d say you probably owe me. Don’t you think?” Her mock grin settled on a familiar passerby, pinning them with a grin that dared them to disagree, “Don’t you think she owes me?”

“Someone sitting for fifteen minutes bothers you? Your testiness knows no bounds, does it?”
“No..---- Don’t tell me you were expecting more, were you? How disgustingly open minded of you.”
gullageransome:
“Curiosity killed the cat. I’m sure you’re old enough to understand disappointment.”
“Cute, but I’ve got plenty more lives than a feline. Old enough, though I’m not all that familiar with it. Get what I want, take what I want --- doesn’t leave much room to be disappointed.”
gullageransome:
“Move along now, nothing to see here.”
“What a way to diminish a woman’s curiosity...”
freydom:
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
“I’ve seen plenty enough to know that you’re not one of them, don’t flatter yourself. You’ve been sitting there for almost fifteen minutes, and usually I’m all for freaking everyone out, but you’re starting to bother me.”

“Why question such a good thing when we both know how this is going to play out, love. Its you and I tonight, regardless of whatever else it was you had on; or, whoever I should say.”
“Darling Lyra, if ever there were a tolerable thorn in my side, you might have been it, but showing up like this is really beginning to make me question how much I like you.”
vincepetrov:
“— ‘Kay, first of all… I resent bein’ lumped in with that prick. Second, I never left Murderville. Just hopped along the outskirts for awhile ‘cause that’s what I do.”
“You hopped along the outskirts of town? You’re a fucking creeper, when exactly are you going to leave that poor girl alone to die? She’d be better off.”
charminglysinful:
( “I don’t try to kill everyone I know, Lyssa - Only the truly special ones.” ) Noah couldn’t help but try to push her buttons, there was something about Lyssa when she was angry that was exhilarating to him. It was thrilling to see her at her prime, it was then that she shone the brightest. ( “But in my defense you were attempting to lock me in a metaphorical cage again. What else was I supposed to do? Murderous ripper’s are for life Lyssa, not just for Christmas - you opened Pandora’s box, you should have been prepared to deal with the consequences of that action.” ) He knew bringing up the fact that she’d technically been responsible for the series of events that had happened over the last couple of years would surely tick every box on the way to her losing her temper. ( “Well, my mother taught me not to tell lies. And I’d be a damn liar if I said I didn’t enjoy our times together. I distinctly remember doing it right there –” ) He pointed to the dancers stage with a smirk. ( “Do you? You were exceedingly vocal that night.” )
Without fail, she paused and held up her index finger to hush him momentarily, “I think I just threw up at little.” Like a mosquito, in the months since moving past whatever pain he’d forced her to feel after so long of being numb to it, once she’d finally fallen to her usual distaste for both him and the man he was in his right mind; burying everything well beneath it under iron and stone, Lyssa could only hope he’d fly too close to a zapper and that would be the end of him. “You deserved it, and it was either a cage or drawn and quartered, I was being kind.” Something she’d never been in the least. “I don’t ever deal with consequences, it’s part of my charm.” Short and sharp, her venomous tongue made it all the easier to cut any further conversation with him short. Responsible or not; she’d never accepted that kind of thing before now, and despite the last year of her life being all too different to her usual self, he’d been gone long enough for her to realize she loved herself more than she could ever love him. “Hold onto those memories, Noah, they’re all you’re going to have of our time together.” She rolled her eyes and turned towards her office, more than done with his mindless idea of a welcome home. “I’m exceedingly vocal with everyone, I hope you didn’t consider yourself anything truly special.”
@vincepetrov
“You would roll into town on the coattails of that bastard.”

“I can’t decide—” He began, holding a hand up to his chin in deep, complex thought. “If I like it more when they run, or when they just stand there screaming.” An unsettling, yet genuine smile took hold of his features, his eyes squinting as a result. “You’d think their vocal chords would give out after a minute or two, but no.” He finally dropped the hand from his face, then pointing at his sire instead. “Tell me what you think, Mommy.”
“I think I liked it a hell of a lot more when you didn’t talk to fucking much.” There was clearly a reason why Lyssa had never sired anyone save one, a lapse in her lacking compassion had gifted her best friend with the incessant little brother that was likely just as irritating as the man himself. “The running and screaming works better, why have one when you could have both.” As if that wasn’t the only answer reasonable for their kind, she might have pinned him with a glare had a forceful eye roll not ripped through her first at the unsavory name that slipped from his lips. “I should have let you die.”
