“ nope . it’s usually the opposite . ” he jokes . it could very well be true — cooper tends to lean on the more arrogant side at times . “ you’re asking for quite a lot . why do we pay for espn if you never let me watch it on the tv ? ” that’s definitely an exaggeration . the rule in their apartment goes as such : whoever gets to the remote first gets to choose what’s playing . and cooper always , always wins … aside from the few times he lets her in an attempt at appeasement . “ my aim used to be impeccable , y’know . i’m just out of practice . ” kind of hard to really play football with a bunch of tweens . they never believe him when he tells them he was almost drafted . nonetheless , he’s bending over to collect the ball from the grass before falling into step with lola , walking so close that their arms bump together . “ i’m thinking thai food ? thoughts ? ”
“Oh don’t give me that, it’s on almost every night , I’m surprised those reporters faces aren’t burned into the TV by now” she says, dramatically rolling her eyes when he looks at her. “right...out of practice” she nods, nothing’s gonna convince her that he didn’t aim that at her on purpose. Lola blushes a little bit at the mere feeling of their arms brushing up against each other, “Thai sounds good, if you’re ordering from the place down the street do you think you could get me some of the mochi ice cream things? You know, the strawberry ones?” she flashes him her best puppy dog expression as the two make their way up to their apartment and eventually inside of it. “You know, I think we should get like a dog or something—you could play fetch and whatever else with it and I could have someone to keep my company while you’re at work” she mainly brings it up because waling into their empty apartment reminds her of how sad the place is when either one of them is gone, let alone both of them. But nonetheless she sets her bag down on the couch, leaning her shoes by the door as she plops down onto the couch. “We’re watching one tree hill”
