Transformers Prime Optimus character design by Augusto Barranco.
From that one moment in the fifth episode where Optimus takes a closer look at the Nemesis.
i still get notes for these two posts sometimes; i'm glad they're still amusing folks after all these years
@twcwheeler
TFP Optimus, in Cybertronian standarts, looks like a super model. This bitch is so beautiful that whenever Megatron sees him his IQ goes down 5 percent. I am sorry but there is no other explanation to the Autobots winning the war this is the best I got.
i’ll take you all on!

“So, what’s the verdict, oh Masterful Beholder of the Energon Scanner?” Seacrest hummed, resting a servo on Caspian’s helm to guide him back on track from wandering. Echo had found a new mine, untouched by either faction given its location on the sea floor and that it was worth giving a once over to see if it was viable or more a rainy day back up mine.
“From all the blobs? It has energon” Caspian chirped excitedly, basically mashing the ‘Scan’ button to watch how the series of blob and blips changed the closer they got to the main cavern. There was blobs, dots and specks everywhere on the little screen. This was kinda exciting!
Oh, it had energon alright. Rounding the bend and stepping into the main cavern meant Seacrest didn’t need his dive lights to see anymore. Nope. With the sheer volume of energon veins arching up the cave walls and across the ceiling like delicious rivers, this place glowed all on its own.
“… Think they will call it the Caspian Mine after who discovered it?”
“Nah. You’ll have to fight Echo on that. But, I’ll put 5 shannix on you winning it” Seacrest grinned

While it was far from optimal, the talk of possible underwater deposits of energon is not a topic unheard in the base. His late night patrols have as Fowler would say 'bore fruit' to the theory, along with multiple scans he's found what might be a large quantity. That being said, his frame was not suitable for long exposures of being underwater. Trips before have proved that as he'd deal with delayed motor functions and having a harder time of transforming, Ratchet often heavily advised against it. But even now as he stands at the edge where it might be a more clear jump down and able to atleast get segments, energon was a precious resource that his team was scarce in. They themselves were becoming more desperate, running themselves ragged or even getting more injured just to get a single cube of energon. It seemed more than Megatron was not as much using the energon as more doing his best to wear them thin. He will not allow himself to let others perish when he can do something about it. Despite the risk, he is quite sure he can atleast secure enough to atleast put another day or week into their supplies.
Even still, as he takes those steps forward, systems warning him of the cold water. He jumps, the water rushing past over metal and he can feel the pressure yank him down with increased gravity. Until pedes hit the bottom of the ground, a cloud ever slightly moving outwards but he doesn't slow down, quickly does he begin moving. Following the faint glow he can see with his optics, unfortunately desperation to provide for his comrades might cost him more than just delayed motion.
i am. so sorry for not posting any art lately. I’ve been kinda jumping between one drawing to the next, but never really finishing any of it, so uh. Take this quick painting I did yesterday
do not be fooled by appearances for thought it may seem small, the power to love one another is the greatest power of all
Was actually gonna post this together with some more Shattered Glass stuff, but oh well
Asshole (affectionate)
If he hears one more report about Wheeljack's carefree nature his smokestacks might start smoking. He understands both sides but if he keeps having to hear it after coming back from the battlefield, even he has a limit.
Megatron with Optimus
"It is only a graze." Are the words that escape past his intake, optics dimly lit in the dark space as an open palm presses against the large boulder above. In a certain agent's wording, if he'd had a dime for everytime he'd had something try to crush him or was in a place that came crumbling down? He'd be rich? Oh if only he could trade that in the precious resource his team needed so sorely. A hopeful peaceful trip to an energon deposit and for some reason the cave had collapsed, however it seemed to only be the entrance and his scans had already alerted him to another exit. But, it seemed he hadn't gotten away unscathed as much as he'd originally thought.
After moving to catch the loose boulder that had nearly come down on their heads, had he noticed a very faint trail of the bioluminescent fluid, dripping down from underneath his plating, suggesting a potential wound near his chest, most likely from when he'd narrowly avoided being skewered along with his comprad on the mission. Moving forward once placing the boulder aside and giving a simple answer. "We need to keep moving, it's unclear if the rest of the cave is or will become unstable."
"I will be fine, finding a way out is top priority." Sentences short but to a point, while talking could be his strong suit he often founds that his words did not instil the same emotions it often did for his fellow companions to those who originated from this planet. While he knew of many with a skittish nature, he also knew those of considerable courage. However, he had to come to expect the unexpected from their human companions, all of them, this was exactly the case in what should have been a safe trip. Had it been sabotaged somehow and he'd failed to notice? Or had it simply gone wrong in a matter of seconds.
Lucky. Yes. Somehow luck always seemed to favor him and yet those around him suffered from misfortune, as if he was taking it from them. Countless moments where his life should have ended yet it never did, like some force wasn't going to let him perish, he felt like even if he did that somehow he'd be brought back just to keep going in a war that felt like it would never end despite best efforts. But those thoughts can wait for a later time as he keeps moving forward, pausing if only to lower a servo so that his human companion may be in a safer posistion as he makes way for the other exit.
"Do not blame yourself for being here, it was my hope that this would be a safer endeavor. There is another exit not far from our posistion."
“Understood Optimus, then better not stopping here and keep moving forward like you mentioned” as said, the young woman was ready to step ahead if it wasn't for Optimus' servo leaned toward her person; she gave a honest smile to him before going up to it and sit on her own knees over his palm, whilehaving the naive idea of taking the flashlight from the bag and pointing it all over the cave, not knowing that he have them too... and even bigger.
But she will discover soon enough.
“In all honesty, I blame myself mostly for not be able to do much at the moment, neitherfor you or your wound” Malika gave a deep sigh, shaking the head, “Don't get me wrong though, I'm not afraid for myself, but for your status, however if you say to be fine... then I gotta believe you.”
She never lose the fact of be much more thoughtful about the others than herself, both due because wanted to be always useful for their teammates or friends... and also for preoccupation or the feeling of losing someone else.
They still knew little of her, aside Arcee that maybe, maybe did get a glimp about what the engineer had lost during her past years... two big part of her that wouldn't never speak of for the fear of losing her composure.
“And for the record, this is still a safe endeavor. I mean... you are with me, afterall.” a slight part of consideration toward the one and truly leader they all admire so much.
"...the exit should be up ahead." Steps remaining quiet, only with the mechanical whirl from his fans kicking on as headlights kick on as well. Producing a much brighter light as to better see their surroundings as he walks. The way is deep and rocks have fallen everywhere it looks like, one servo pressing against some rocks jutting out to push aside and open up the passageway more, pausing as if waiting for the shake of stabilization being lost yet nothing happens, things aren't adding up no matter how much he runs the diagnostics. Instead a bit of light shining down catches his attention, turning his gaze upwards and noting a small opening. Not big enough for him, but for his human companion definately as he steps forward, digits digging into the sides of the walls as he secures his pedes, digging them into the rocks and stone to get up further, lifting his servo and managing a way up.
"Once you are above, you will be able to contact base and alert them of the current situation." Only moving his servo down once she is off and on upper ground. He's about to add more when a clink echoes out, a pause as his helm tilts down. Unable to see what has bounced off his armor, he releases his grasp. Dropping back down standing before looking for what loose rock might have fallen on him. Nothing? Instead slowly moving away from the exit and searching for the answer to this mystery. Why did the cave collapse?
🧽-autobotmedic because cleanliness is important
@autobotmedic
The battle had left more of a toll on him than anyone else, especially since he'd gone solo for most of it. Stray wires and cables that still faintly sparked curled around one of his servos, keeping them stuck in a tight fist at the moment. He knows the dangers of rushing into a battle zone without any backup, what he can't understand is how the children had ended up in an energon mine of all places. He'll chalk it up to another tally of 'Miko Adventures' that he's heard so much about. Still the three had been returned and the mine had been taken, albeit Optimus would probably not be on the front lines for a while after pushing his limits beyond the reasonable point. He's glad that his audio receptors are still working, even if his audial fins are ever slightly lowered, still a bit wrecked from the noise feedback he'd received from close range blasts. It only partially blocks out Ratchets words, he knows most come from a place of concern. Still, remaining seated for the time being as the other had been cleaning the splattered energon off of him. "The energon mine will greatly help our supplies. I'm...happy I could get it despite the circumstances."
Though ratchet might not be a fan of him having shoved his fit through a cube of energon into the chest chamber of a footsoldier just to stop them from calling reinforcements.

me too, orion
Got some musing energy finally. But still mobile bound. I also lack a lot of optimus icons.
