there is something so extremely vulnerable, about both of their nude forms, that she is a getting an intricate look at. her own, slim, tall, but wrong at every edge. ambessa encompasses a woman that has everything one could want: it leaves her a little breathless in a way that she can not describe.

instead, caitlyn draws a sharp breath, that feels absolutely unbearable.

everything feels too heavy. ambessa saying these words isn't comforting. in some way, it makes things worse. many of the reason she feels like a monster are because of the noxian.

the young kiramman struggles to breathe, ignores the tears that threaten her eyes. it's such a pathetic display that she is sure her mother will scorn her for it.

" let's move on. I don't believe this will help. "

every step she makes ambessa would know too well. she knows this is a fight she can't win. she knows the wind blowing in her hair is pumping adrenaline into her veins that she knows is out of hand.

" shut up. " , she hisses. " I'm done listening to you. "

every cell in her body is telling her to run. she has made a grave mistake.

// caitlyn nods. everything ambessa tells her is true. it's meant to encourage her, and it's another lesson she takes and lets into her heart. with all of the approval ambessa gives her, she appreciates everything the noxian tells her.

lessons learnt. progress made. caitlyn is making progress, very slowly. but she is doing it: she's following footsteps ambessa put in place for her. the piltovan slowly learns how to walk. hands held by the woman who's so lovingly put herself into the place of her mother.

she's managed to strike her at every vulnerable part of herself. knows exactly where to poke to trigger what reaction.

a sharp breath leaves her. " right. you're right. I won't let this get to me. "

her face going red leaves her with another realization: that that sounded, and felt more suggestive than it probably should, and she wants to slap herself for that thought. there is no way ambessa meant it in a way like that.
