I AM SO CLOSE TO GETTING OUT OF THIS HELLHOLE!!!!! 27 years of abuse and i am getting OUT!!!! the apartments accepted my application and my move in date is in a couple weeks!!!! the process of my raise is paused tho bc my damn boss just decided he was going to leave for a week!!! so i still need help!!!

my ex had this thing too where dinner didnt "count" unless i cooked it from scratch. like i was supposed to come home from a shift at 930pm and whip something up when i had always been open about having no kitchen skills and no enjoyment of cooking. i can try to put in the time, effort, skill and money when i have the day off to prepare, and i did many times, but if i have been at work making toys for children for 8+ hours with a spine that has been slowly collapsing my entire life, you are getting something from the frozen section or doordash. it is not my fault if you did not feed yourself hours after your shift ended especially if you have been home the whole damn time.

am i still living in hell but of a different variety? yes. but at least i dont have my fully able bodied ex having a "talk" with me every couple months about how i wasnt cooking and cleaning every day while struggling with chronic pain. the real kicker was when i managed to work through the pain and be 10x worse physically but still cleaning and making dinner she said she was going to have to go to therapy (like id been asking her to for years) because it was traumatic how i "wasnt putting in the effort until then" and "could have been all along" so yeah she lost her leverage for control then spiraled. she did not go to therapy btw she divorced me like three weeks later
