At the end of 2017 - mid Nov thru mid Dec - I had a flurry of activity with commissioned paintings. Love hearing the feedback when they are given as gifts, pictures sent of them hanging in their new homes, and comments shared when others show off their new paintings. It’s not easy being an artist at times, we always have self doubt, but the positive feedback keeps us motivated to work harder and try new artistic challenges.

Painted this 18x36 of the rainbow parade in Nantucket. Even though we had cold and snow this April weekend in Boston, I was trying to think summer.

Had to run to the bank today in my hometown.  Moved two towns over 20 years ago but won’t leave my bank.  Love Winchester’s downtown area . . .need to do another painting one of these days.

Finished a 34x30 alkyd oil painting of this Wildflower Farms old 1950s Chevy that sells flowers on Main Street in Nantucket.  Thanks @theswampyankee for letting me base this off your photo.

Two different looks at Brant Point Light in Nantucket.  The top one is 20x16 and was done impasto style with palette knives - the second was all brush and is 18x24.

Boston Public Garden . . . I painted this last month - first large scale painting on a 30x40 canvas. Looking forward to doing a few more larger works of Boston soon.
