Hello hello!! My new webcomic, Paper Shells, has launched today! It's also my birthday! For my birthday, you should read it, unless you are under 18, because there's nudity in it. Here's the summary:
Things are looking up for Dr. Ingrid Hall. She's on track to get tenure, her transition is basically complete, and best of all, she's engaged to love of her life. In this city, safe from the werewolf threat, Ingrid's finally finding some happiness. But there's something her fiance's not telling her, and three strange hunters coming into town threaten to destroy the meager peace she has found. Paper Shells is a comic about domestic abuse and transphobia. It contains graphic violence, nudity, and sex. For 18+ readers only. If you liked Un/Bound, you will probably like Paper Shells! It's similar in tone/content just a little more intense, and also better, because I finally figured out to write!! Excited!! Excited!! Excited!!!
Job hunting in a hostile environment. ✨
Dedicated to my cat, who is very vocal about my bed time.

spirits of the night
this piece is a revisioning of one of my works from 2020, called "calm evenings". the night is the time for spirits, you can feel the ethereal energy as they awaken. especially under a full moon in the winter.
i wanted to captivate that energy here, with wispy bird spirits moving the stars through the sky, and subtle patterns in the wolf and enviorment to express the spirits they hold. everything is alive and connected.
take the time to really feel the world around you. next time you feel afraid at night, remember that it might only be spirits trying to play a trick on you. ;]
uhhh 8 and 14?
8. favorite month of the year and why?
September, entirely because the weather tends to be nice and it's my birth month.
14. if you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?
hmmm well there's a lot of subjects I'm passionate about but I feel like one thing that could be worth really talking people's ears off about is how like, the vast majority of art education and art teachers suck at their jobs and how most people fundamentally misunderstand how to learn and teach art
simple asks to help bolster ask culture again
What's your blog title from?
What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?
what are you looking forward to right now?
if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?
What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)
What's your hair routine like? Anything special?
what's your favorite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven't done that you want to experience?
favorite month of the year and why?
favorite time of day and why?
do you play or follow any sports? & elaborate on that?
what kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?
dishes or laundry?
what's something you learned recently?
if you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?
What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?
what's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?
do you believe in luck and superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any lucky rules?
Are you musical? Play any instruments or sing? Would you ever perform for an audience?
Write, type, or speak?
what do you wish someone would ask you?
