I like to think about the first law of thermodynamics, that no energy in the universe is created and… none is destroyed. That means that every bit of energy inside us, every particle will go on to be a part of something else. Maybe live as a dragon fish, a microbe, maybe burn in a supernova ten billion years from now. And every part of us now was once a part of some other thing - a moon, a storm cloud, a mammoth. A monkey. Thousands and thousands of other beautiful things that were just as terrified to die as we are. We gave them new life. Good one, I hope.

     lyra had been in the hospital before the quarantine started. she had went to see how she could help. she had gotten a lot of training about the human body through her years of education so she knew that she could help. after hours of working on people she was reminded of why she preferred to work in her lab. she couldn’t stand to see these people dying. when she was finally at her breaking point she left the room of patients going into the staff room. that was when she spotted the familiar brunette. “i don’t know how you can do this.”

          lyra smiled slightly happy to hear the familiar voice. she had been worried about whether or not he had been okay. “yes, well with so many people hurt i’ve been helping out whilst trying to find out a cure.” she said with a sigh as she finished picking up the things. “thank you for your help.”

It was weird - being stuck in the hospital and knowing the dangers that you would face if you stepped one foot outside. Sebastian found himself wandering the halls without much thought in his mind. Once he heard a noise, however, it certainly caught his attention. Sebastian opened the door to where he thought he heard the crash and came face to face to the mess. “Here, let me help you..”

Lyra had been in the hospital for a few days now. With her close friend being a doctor she had tried to see if she could get her hands on a corpse to see what had happened to mutate the DNA. Since then she had been without sleep, and the dark circles under her eyes showed. “Oh, I couldn’t ask you to do that.”
