Drow hate surface elves, which may explain Kelothac's bad attitude towards Laethil. But should Laethil tolerate this since it's part of drow culture? I don't think he should. Is there on tumblr anyone here who primarily loves NPC D&D characters and didn't know about VLDL guys at all before watching this show? I am one of those people. Yes, I ship Laethil/Yarris, that's my OTP, and I also ship Laethil/Baradun and Laethil/Kelothac. But I had absolutely no idea who the VLDL guys were until I got into the NPC D&D (now known as Adventures of Azerim) fandom.

Honestly, I'm sick of seeing people writing cruel things and fantasies about torturing Laethil. It feels like people just have nowhere to put their aggression and sadistic fantasies. And no, it's not always fanfiction. Fanfiction has tags, and if Laethil is being tortured, I just won't read it (or maybe I will if it's a plot-driven moment, like in a story about saving Laethil from orcs, and not just a stupid savoring of violence "because Laethil deserved it"). But unfortunately, there can also be comments on YouTube or Twitch, and there is no way to filter them out. I can't block those who write this. So, sometimes I have to see someone's fantasies about how they would like to lock up Laethil and torture him or a description of how Laethil should be brutally killed. Or something like that. And this is not a discussion of what will happen next in this story. This is just concentrated hatred. WTF? What's wrong with you people? Maybe it's better to write something good about the characters you like, rather than spitting venom at the characters other people like?
