I did it straight-ahead off some crusty little thumbnails in about five days, on-and-off. It sat there in my files for an additional four months before I posted it.
During the tango scene at the end, they're both trying to lead.
Also during the tango scene: they're supposed to be on some funky red and blue pillars that twist around each other as they dance. i never got around to coloring them because the file was too big and load-bearing to edit
I have never drawn just feet walking around each other and it blew my fucking mind when i successfully did it.
L sets up a fake scene during the instrumental break, and afterwards you can see that both Kira's silhouette and the "patient" are dummies haphazardly thrown across the bench.
I wanted Rem and Ryuk to fade in behind Matsuda. That did not happen.
I used a textured brush for this. Idiot move on my end.
I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to make L pop up behind the bench. It drove me nuts, so I left it.
I think Misa looks like she's in a whole other artstyle. Oh well
Light is disgusted when L steps in the blood barefoot.
Light is dressed as Cheech Marin for "don't cheech my chong". He's also smoking a joint.
