This Calls For a Toast||Devin&Jeff

Devin grabbed her jacket from out from under her cat and sighed. She quickly cleared the jacket of hairs, then slipped it on. Devin drove to the bar, figuring she might need her car to help transport Jeff. It kinda sucked that she'd have to be going out, and not be able to drink. But at least it would be nice to spend time with a friend. Devin reached the bar and sat down waiting for Jeff to turn up.

Denise took a cookie out of the box and took a small bite, keeping her eye on Brian. “I’ve been good,” She replied, glancing from Meredith back to Brian, more interested on what he was going to do. “Just the normal boring life.” She added. Brian got up to get his suit, he informed Meredith and Denise that he was going to drop his suit off then hang out with Devin. Why would he be meeting up with Devin? The look on his face was malicious. Denise casually read his mind, trying to figure out where he was going with Devin. She got the information she needed as Brian left the house. Denise leaned over to Meredith and whispered. “He’s going to the mall with Devin.” She informed her. “Whatever he’s doing with Devin, I don’t trust him.”

Devin made it to the mall and kept the skeletons waiting in a place they could be unseen for now, until she needed them for later. Devin walked about waiting fro Brian who had joined up with her faster than she expected. "Glad you could make it," She commented. "You sure made it here fast, I suppose things still aren't going well back at home then?" She asked Brian not really caring about the answer but figured she'd ask him anyway. "I'm thinking this time around... we go for the larger part. The food court this time," She added before he spoke.

Doesn't feel like a night out ||Meredith, Denise, Devin, &Brian

The days following up after the breakout with Brian went slowly. She did enjoy the time, she spent with Denise the one time, and was looking forward spending more time with her, and going out for a girls night. She invited her early that morning, before Brian had finally returned home. They didn’t talk much though out the rest of the day. She didn’t have anything to say to him that she thought wouldn’t make him upset or put him on the edge again, so she just kept her mouth shut. Meredith heard a knock on the door, that night and opened it, seeing Denise there. Meredith smiled widely pulling her in to a hug, “Hey!” she said brightly pulling away and letting her in to the house.

Denise decided to check up on Meredith and make sure she was safe in her own home. From what she had heard, or read, Brian’s darkness manipulation has started to affect her best friend. She, out of the blue, went to Meredith’s house with a box of Chips Ahoy brownie filled cookies. She knocked on the door and was hoping Meredith would answer. She smiled and relaxed as Meredith opened the door, Brian opening the door would not be a good situation. “Hey, silly!” She hugged Meredith and entered her home. “I brought cookies.” She said, placing the box of cookies on the kitchen counter. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the one and only person she didn’t want to see in this house. The one and only Brian Holden. She ignored the fact he was here, and enjoyed her time with Meredith.

It had only been a few hours until Devin kicked Brian out of her apartment to go back to his place, but already she was feeling his absence and wanted to go back out there and fuck shit up again. It had been fun while the were in the park, simply making it dark and using the skeletons to scare the shit out of people. Only a few had been actually injured, but they had been of their own accord. Devin was already back in graveyard at her usual spot, she found it much more relaxing here than anywhere else. She wanted to step things back up from the park though, she wanted to take things back to the mall. It wasn't too far away from where she sat now and her powers could make it. Devin raised three skeletons, then headed on down towards the mall with them behind. Meet me at the mall in 10 minutes. She text Brian hoping he'd answer.

"You can raise the dead?" Dylan's eyes widened and then he grinned widely, laughing just slightly. "Dead goddamn, Dev, that's so cool!" He sat down on the couch and motioned for her to sit down on the couch with him, still grinning. "And sensing the future! I mean, those are cool powers! I just have my electricity manipulation and enhanced agility and reflexes, but that's not really much." Dylan shrugged and then frowned at her last words. "A meteor shower? Hm, I guess that sounds close enough to what could've caused this. But, I'm not really complaining. For once I've got some kind of superiority over other people that just don't listen."

Devin nodded and smiled glad Dylan didn't take it the wrong way like she expected him to. "Thanks, I think it's pretty cool too you know, I mean i can get them to be like my own personal slaves." She joked glad there was no dead around to hear her say that. "Hey, I think they're cool! And at least they're something!" She said with a shrug, "I mean, for the longest time I didn't think I had anything, I would've killed to have something, so be thankful!" She said with a smile. She nodded as she listened to Dylan, "Yeah, exactly! that's probably the best part about them!"

Dylan chuckled at her outburst and nodded. "I went to Montana to learn how to control my electricity manipulation. I had felt like it was controlling me at first." He looked at Devin and frowned. "What power do you have?" Dylan didn't think that all of the StarKids had powers, but they all must know about it some way or another if she was plainly asking it outright like she had done so. "And do you have any idea how we got these powers in the first place?"

Devin nodded, "Ah, I see, that's pretty cool," She said with a smile. "Uh, well, me?" She said with a small laugh and scratched the back of her neck, the only one she had ever actually told about her powers was Brian. She hesitated for a moment and remembered what Brian told her about how people reacted to Brian's powers when he shared. "I can, raise the dead, and like sense the future kinda," She said with a small shrug. "I'm not too sure, I mean, there was that one meteor shower and some people think that's how, but then again some people who weren't there have them, so we don't really know."

"Just a few days ago." Dylan was happy to see that someone else had remembered he was gone, and he suddenly hugged Devin. "But it was for everyone's safety.

Devin nodded and hugged Dylan back, "I see... Where was it you went again?" She asked pulling back from the hug and cocking her head to the side. "Oh, also do you have powers?" She asked just blatantly going out with it. She figured the majority of Starkids had powers or at least knew of them, and figured it was okay to ask him.

Dylan had decided to go the manor several hours before, being bored, and he was sitting on the couch when he heard Devin’s voice. He was slightly surprised she was there, but then again, she was a StarKid. Dylan stood up and turned on the light in the living room, his eyes landing on Devin as soon as she was able to be seen. “Hello, Devin. Miss me?” He said it with a mix of venom and playfulness, not sure if she knew he had left or not.

Devin stepped in to the room closer and then spotted Dylan. "Hey, Dylan!" She grinned. "When'd you get back?" She didn't know exactly where is was Dylan had gone, but the lack of his presence was definitely noticeable to her. She didn't get out much herself but she knew that Dylan was gone.

Devin's mind wandered to things she could do, being sick of Brian already she just wanted to get out of the house. He came to her late last night, she didn't care why and was willing to house him for the night, but it was becoming too long. He was crashed out on the couch and Devin quickly escaped the apartment, and headed out. Se didn't want to be alone, out there so decided to head off to the manor, hoping to find someone there to talk to. Devin used her key and entered though the front door as she arrived. "Hello?" Devin called out looking for someone.

Brian smiled back, glad to see that she wasn’t too mad at him. “Yes, let’s," he said, agreeing with her. He was excited for this, he hadn’t gone out and done this since before the last time he had scared Meredith. Crossing over the uneven ground, he linked arms with Devin and said, “After you?"

Devin smiled and bit her lip as she linked arms with Brian and walked forward outside, her adrenaline already pumping. Excited was an understatement from what it was she was feeling. She was just looking forward to getting out there again and spending time terrorizing others. She didn't even care how twisted it sounded. She just needed to see the fear.

Brian sensed her anger after he said that. He quickly tried to amend what he said, “I’m sorry, I make jokes when I’m uncomfortable." What he really didn’t want to do was piss off the kind of dead, especially if Devin didn’t have complete control over them, which he suspected when she snapped at him.
