I love that Hal is doing research on Bolaire.

Based on the Nat 1 insight, Hal believes what Bolaire said is true. And based on his reaction after the Seekers left (“bit of a surprise, could’ve told me, would’ve kept your secret”), he’s handling the reveal pretty well (or he may have been pretending).

However, there’s a difference between believing/handling the truth and actually understanding what the truth means. That’s what Hal is trying to do: understand.

This is a good example of my process. I figure out the pose, add some color roughly, then next I would start working on a section adding real color, details and shading. Often I hop around sections, working on whatever part catches my attention or seems more interesting to me in the moment.

This one I was going to toy with what clothes they have on, and was even leaning to no shoes (like the OP!!), but didn't want to sketch feet yet... I'm so close to done with the art from the last episode.

C3E111 - one hand in his hair, the other pulling him close. Orym's fingers entwined in his… listening to his heartbeat.

I decided both would have been dressed in night clothes to talk. Also, Dorian still has on his sending stone necklace.

Orym leans into Dorian’s hip (and by my math this is their actual heights in comparison), and Dorian puts his arm and cloak around him, humming a tune as he strokes his hair. I gave Orym rings under his eyes because you know he’s been going through it…

with zero haterism in my heart, i think critrole fan artists should put more effort to learn to draw diverse bodies. not talking abt weight rn, i mean like please learn to draw adults who shorter than 5ft tall. im sorry you cant give orym long athletic model legs but diverse bodies are important to know how to draw. youve got learn to draw shorter limbs and proportions man. and the official art is right there as a reference for u i prommy he will slay just fine 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Orym is hard because he's also 'fit like a dancer'. So if I make him more stalky then it takes from that. I also use a program that had models you can resize and adjust (some) to help with sizes (I looked up the height of everyone).. but he just looks... small...

Giving him a larger head also makes him look childish, but otherwise he looks small compared to the others.

Hopefully, I do the halfling (and the others when I dare to draw them) justice.
