First chunk is exposition, then it’s the boys. What happens when your man sees you being flirted with?
PRELUDE
When a guy slides up next to you at the bar, grinning like he’d just won the lottery, you didn’t immediately brush him off. Mostly because he wasn’t annoying—yet—and partly because you were curious to see how far he'd go before he took the hint.
“Did it hurt?” he asked, eyes gleaming with anticipation.
You blinked. “Excuse me?”
“When you fell from heaven,” he clarified, finger-gunning with zero irony. You actually laughed—not with him, more at him, but he didn’t seem to notice the difference.
“Wow,” you mused. “That’s vintage. Do you dust that one off for special occasions?”
He chuckled like you were flirting back. “Only when I see someone who makes it worth it.”
You rested your elbow on the bar and gave him a look, still smiling. He wasn’t threatening, just... kind of ridiculous. He probably meant well. Or maybe he was just drunk enough to think he stood a chance. Either way, it was easier to play along with a few sarcastic quips than to go full shutdown mode. You figured he’d get bored eventually… He didn’t.
“I’m serious,” he went on. “You’ve got this whole mysterious vibe. Like... someone with stories. I could listen to you talk all night.”
“You don’t even know my name.”
“Then tell me.”
You tapped your fingers on your glass, swirling the last bit of your drink. “That’s usually how conversations go, huh? I tell you my name, then what? You try to guess my favorite color?”
“Let me guess—black,” he said confidently, eyes flicking to your outfit.
You snorted. “Wow. You cracked the code.”
He leaned in a little closer, clearly not getting the hint—or maybe refusing to. “You’ve got a great laugh, y’know that?”
You smile and roll your eyes, your boyfriend should have been here by now, and glancing to the clock? Oh he should’ve been here 10 minutes ago! Where is that-
RYOMEN SUKUNA
Sukuna finally decided to make his presence known. You spotted him before the guy could and knew things were about to get messy. An arrogant smirk spread across Sukuna's face as he stepped forward, his voice a low, dangerous purr. "Well, well, well. Looks like someone's trying to steal my date's attention."
The man at the bar turned to look at Sukuna, his grin fading as he was washed in the dangerous aura.
"And you are?" he asked, trying to hide the nervousness in his voice.
Sukuna chuckled, "I'm the one who's going to enjoy watching you leave with a few less teeth if you don't back off."
He stepped closer, his voice dropping to a menacing whisper. "You see, I don't share what's mine. And this beautiful creature beside you is very much mine."
The man scoffed, trying to save face. "Yeah? Well, maybe I just want to hear what they have to say for themself."
Sukuna's smirk vanished, replaced by a cold, brutal expression. "Too bad."
He moved with blurring speed, his hand shooting out to grab the man by the throat. He lifted him off the ground effortlessly, the man's feet kicking helplessly in the air. "You should have minded your own business."
The bar went silent, all eyes on the dramatic display. You watched, a mix of amusement and pride in your expression. Sukuna was a force to be reckoned with, and you loved every violent, arrogant moment of it.
Sukuna tightened his grip, the man's face turning red as he struggled to breathe. "Consider this a lesson," Sukuna hissed. "Next time, keep your distance from what isn't yours."
With a sudden jerk, he slammed the man's head into the bar, knocking him out cold. Sukuna dropped him to the floor, where he lay unconscious, a trickle of blood running from his temple.
Turning to you, Sukuna's expression softened slightly, though his eyes still held that dangerous glow. "Now, where were we?" he asked, as if nothing had happened.
You smiled, shaking your head in disbelief. "You're insane, you know that?"
Sukuna grinned, taking your hand in his. "And that's why you love me." He pulled you close, his voice a low growl. "Come on, let's get out of here. I have other plans for us tonight that don't involve this racket."
As you left the bar, arm in arm, The crowd parted for you, whispering and staring at the unconscious man on the floor. You ignored them, focusing instead on the dangerous, arrogant man by your side. Your man.
TOJI FUSHIGURO
"Having some trouble here?"
Ah, Toji. Finally deciding to show up and of course the best he’s doing to dress up for your date is a sweater and clean pants. Maybe he showered too from the look of his wet hair?
The man at the bar turned to face Toji, a mix of confusion and defiance in his eyes. "Not really, just enjoying a conversation,"
Toji raised an eyebrow, a small, mocking smile playing on his lips. "Is that what you call it? Because from where I'm standing, it looks like you're being a bit too persistent."
He glanced at you, his expression softening slightly. "You alright?"
You nodded, a small smile on your lips. "I've got it handled, Toji. But thanks for checking in."
Toji turned back to the man, his smile fading. "You should take the hint and back off. Sweetheart ain’t interested."
The man scoffed, standing like he could compare to Toji. "And who are you to tell me what to do?"
Toji's response was swift and brutal. He moved with lightning speed, his fist connecting with the man's jaw in a powerful, precise strike. The man flung back, crashing into a stool behind.
"You should have listened," Toji shrugs shaking his head with with a chuckle as he moves over to the guy. He grabbed the man by the collar, lifting him from the floor, "Now, apologize for wasting their time."
The man, gasping for breath, managed a weak, "S-sorry."
Toji released him, a look of disgust and amusement on his face. "Get out of here before I decide to make you regret it even more."
The man nodded, rubbing his jaw as he hurried away, leaving you and Toji alone at the bar. Toji turned to you, a laugh and grin dancing on his features. "Damn that guy was ugly."
You roll your eyes with a laugh of your own and playfully hit him. "Not as ugly as you!"
“Damn, baby. Just saved your ass from Mr. swamp ass and I sweat booze for a living and this is my thanks? I’m hurt!” Toji clicks his tongue shaking his head and saddles next to you.
“Oh and you’re late. Again,” you retort pointing a finger at him with a squint. He’s got no defense just raises his hands in defeat closing his eyes with smirk. You groan and roll your eyes but smile bumping your shoulder to his.
KENJAKU
“This is what you’re doing while I’m late?”
You look up, and there he is.
Kenjaku.
Same vessel—Suguru Geto’s face like a polite lie stretched over something far more ancient. His tone? Amused. Cool. Drenched in confidence. His hands are tucked casually into the pockets of a dark coat, expression just this side of bored.
“Ten minutes,” you retort, “You were ten minutes late.”
Kenjaku rolled his eyes with a snake before his expression changed to one of pure disdain. "You're really going to keep trying that line? 'Did it hurt when you fell from heaven'? How original." He turned to you, a smirk on his lips. "He thinks he's being charming, right?"
You suppressed a laugh, shaking your head. "Something like that."
Kenjaku turned back to the man, his voice taking on a mocking tone. "Let me guess, you think you're God's gift to women? That you can just walk up to anyone and they'll melt at your feet?" He chuckled, a harsh, mocking sound. "Newsflash: you're not that special."
That gets the guy’s hackles up. “Hey. I didn’t know, alright? I wasn’t trying to—”
“Oh, I’m sure,” Kenjaku cuts in, finally turning to look at him like he’s just noticed a stain on the furniture. “You thought you’d try your luck. You’re a sorcerer, aren’t you? Low-grade, judging by your cursed energy. Barely a ripple.”
The man's face reddened, a mix of embarrassment and anger flashing across his features. "And who are you to judge?"
Kenjaku's smile was pure malice. "I'm the one who's going to enjoy watching you crumble. You're so desperate for attention, it's pathetic."
You stifle a laugh behind your glass.
The guy flushes, fists curling. “You don’t know anything about me!”
Kenjaku leans in just slightly, voice dropping to a razor’s whisper. “I know your confidence is a thin crust over a deep pit of mediocrity. I know you weren’t good enough to get a recommendation, and that you’re still stuck on Grade 3 missions because no one trusts you with anything bigger.”
You shook your head, trying to keep a straight face. "Ooh ouch."
Kenjaku turned back to the man, his expression cold. "You should just save yourself the embarrassment and leave. No one here wants you."
The man, clearly defeated, mumbled something under his breath and quickly retreated, leaving you and Kenjaku alone at the bar. Kenjaku watched him go, a look of satisfaction on his face.
"You were amazing," you said, a smile playing on your lips. "That was brutal."
Kenjaku grinned, a glint of mischief in his eyes. "I do enjoy a good put-down. It's all about knowing their insecurities and playing on them."
He offers his arm with mock formality. “Let’s get out of here before someone worse tries to flirt with you. Like a salaryman. Or a jujutsu higher-up.”
You take it without hesitation. And as you leave the bar, the air seems lighter behind you. Or maybe it’s just emptier—now that someone’s dignity’s been turned to dust.
MAHITO
You glance at the door again. No Mahito. No text. Just this guy, grinning like you’re a prize.
However you know Mahito’s here now. How? You feel him.
Like the temperature drops by ten degrees and the shadows get deeper. The kind of stillness that means something’s watching you—and enjoying it.
You turn your head, and there he is, sliding in behind you like a phantom. His hand ghosts over your back, fingers trailing along your spine before resting lightly on your hip.
“Sorry I’m late,” Mahito murmurs, his voice low and sing-song. “Traffic was hell. I had to make my own path.”
The guy beside you freezes.
You glance sideways and see it hit him—that recognition. Not just that he can see Mahito, but that he knows who he’s looking at.
“The patch-face curse…” the guy says under his breath, like saying it too loud might summon something worse.
Mahito tilts his head, smiling with all his teeth. “Not what I’m called! Say it with me! Ma-he-toe, Mahito.”
the guy mutters staggering to his feet. “You’re not supposed to be here. You shouldn’t—”
“You shouldn’t be talking to them,” Mahito says sweetly, leaning closer to you. “You know, I was watching. From outside. Your little pickup lines were adorable. Almost brave even.”
He slides around the guy, slowly circling him like a cat with a wounded bird.
“I mean, I get it,” Mahito continues. “They’re hot. Who wouldn’t shoot their shot? But there’s a line between flirty and suicidal, and I think you just did a triple axel over it.”
You roll your eyes and take another sip of your drink. “Down boy. Let him live.”
“Ugh, fine,” Mahito sighs, dragging the sound out like a whine. “But he does need a reminder.”
Without warning, Mahito reaches out and taps the guy on the forehead with two fingers.
The man jolts—violently—his knees nearly buckling as cursed energy scrapes across his nervous system like glass dragged over concrete. His vision swirls for a second, and when it clears, he sees something.
Not Mahito.
Something else. Just for a moment. Something with too many limbs and too many smiles.
He stumbles back, gasping.
Mahito just laughs. “Relax. That one was just a party trick!”
You glance at the guy, who's gone pale and sweaty, eyes wide. “Still think I’ve got a nice laugh?” you ask, just to twist the knife.
He doesn’t answer. He’s too busy trying not to pass out. Or piss himself. Or both!
Mahito steps back to your side, draping his arms around your shoulders like he’s a scarf. Like this is date night and not an act of psychological warfare. Okay well it was supposed to be date night.
“I don’t like sharing,” Mahito says, more to you than to the guy. His voice is calm now. Soft. “You know that.”
“I didn’t share anything,” you say, giving him a sideways smirk. “He just offered.”
“Well,” Mahito hums, pulling you closer. “He can keep offering. Just not with his mouth.”
The guy finally moves—turning on his heel and practically fleeing the bar, bumping into a stool on the way out.
You watch him go. Mahito watches you.
“I don’t get jealous,” he murmurs. “I just get… curious. About how many shapes a person can scream in.”
You shake your head, lips curving. “You’re awful.”
He grins, dipping his head to press a kiss to your cheek. “And you love it.”
"Well, Laura, it's been, um… unique."
("To say the least.")
"Good luck us both, hmm?"
"All right. It's ready. I suggest you take a step back. All right."
("Wait!")
warnings: suggestive content, descriptions of violence, let me know if I missed anything!
-Taiju is a family man, a very protective and jealous family man.
-When another guy even thinks of making moves towards you, his blood boils.
-Usually at first he just sits back and watches the interaction between you and the stranger but if the stranger won’t leave you alone he immediately steps in and makes it known you’re taken.
-He typically just swoops in and grabs your waist intimately while waiting for the guy to back off, but sometimes the guy just doesn’t take the hint so he has to grab your chin and kiss you passionately in order to prove his point.
-After the incident he likes to take you to a private area or bathroom and prove your his and his only; usually he pays attention to if he is hurting you but when other men try to take his place he needs to take his anger out on you so he tends to be rough and merciless during this.
-He doesn’t like when other men try to embarrass him and take his place in your life so for the rest of the party/event Taiju is on you constantly, a hand always on your hips or an arm snaked around your waist.
-Afterwards, he leaves a few minutes early before the event ends to purposely get lost in the crowd and to catch the man outside. Taiju waits outside until he spots the man leaving, drags him by his shirt away into an alleyway nearby and from there beats the living shit out of him. How dare this random man attempt to whisk you away? How dare he have so much nerve?
-The man ends up being found later on with multiple heavy bruises on him, a black eye, and a broken bleeding nose.

My favourite little Wednesday narration in season 2 (part 1) is when Wednesday's yapping about how she needs to save Enid but also currently wants to murder her.
