You know what I just admire the graphic design on this
It FEELS so much like a real ad I expect to be sold some sort of car tyre or something but itâs just about biting
1000/10 excellent job

canât talk right now. im partaking in the social ritual of correct micro facial expressions
right so apparently its also weird if you do the correct micro facial expressions but then dont talk
for some reason remembered your Shane loves tequila posts and also remembered the guy who went on Americas Got Talent and karaoked the Tequila song at the same time and just wanted to tell you for any possible enjoyment:
Shane and team getting drunk in a karaoke bar and typically Shane would not go up but he's however many tequila shots in and stand up and does the tequila song and everyone goes wild
Oh I just know that those hockey boys would LOSE their shit to see a grinning and cheeky Shane Hollander standing at the front of the karaoke bar as the opening chords to Tequila play. They know what is coming and they are so excited that the first time Shane puts his lips to the mic and slurs, "Tequila," they are just HOWLING. Ilya is rolling on the floor. The ticker on the screen starts counting down the time to the next 'tequila' and as it goes down the louder the chorus of 'OOOOOH' gets until Shane Hollander says TEQUILA again and the room implodes. It's one of Shane's proudest moments after the Cup wins and asking Ilya to Come To His Cottage. Ilya posts the video to TikTok and it gets several million hits BEFORE anyone realizes it's the Ottawa Centaurs--everyone is just charmed by the Boys Will Be Boys chaos of the whole scene.
My absolute gospel truth and I'm sorry this is so sappy but--where I'm living, Ilya fully changes his name to Hollander when they get married, like just fully legally changes it. And despite the fact that he continues to use Rozanov professionally ("Just like J. Lo," Ilya says.) everyone who knows them personally obviously knows what Ilya's legal name is and also assume it's a way to kind of stick it to his shitheel father. To this end, and kind of as a joke at first, people start referring to their two-person unit as The Hollanders ("Okay, the Hollanders are in room 508" etc.) but it becomes steadily less and less a joke when neither Shane or Ilya really seems to think of it as one. Ilya especially seems to genuinely love it. He'll say shit like "Oh yes the Hollanders will be there" when asked if they're coming to a barbecue like they live in a postcard. He LOVES to give his name as Ilya Hollander and he LOVES to book reservations under 'Misters Hollander' and he LOVES to say the words 'Shane and Ilya Hollander' out loud with his mouth. I also think that for their last game together in the league Ilya and Shane wear jerseys that say S. Hollander 24 and I. Hollander 81 and it's like. An end of an era type thing. And they frame the jerseys.

i think if weâre going to have conversations about consent we should talk about how consenting to something doesnât necessarily mean itâs going to be a good experience, and having a bad experience doesnât necessarily mean someone violated your consent. this can apply to a lot of situations but the two iâm thinking of right now are sex and transition.
youâre getting it on with someone. you enthusiastically consent to having sex with them. afterward, you feel a little weird about it. maybe even distressed. maybe they did something you didnât enjoy and in the moment you just didnât say anything. maybe you just realized after the fact that you were not in a good headspace for sex and now your mental health is declining. that doesnât inherently mean the person you had sex with violated your consent. sometimes it just means you need to take a break from sex or work on communicating your needs or boundaries better during sex.
and with transition, i feel like this is something that gets consistently overlooked but like. there will never be zero detransitioners. there will always be people who decide that actually transition wasnât right for them. they could have had the best most thorough doctors in the world who did everything by the book and got full informed consent at every step. and some people are still going to decide they donât like the changes and wish they hadnât transitioned. that doesnât mean that the doctors violated their consent, and that doesnât mean that transition shouldnât be available to anyone. it just means that we need to have more resources available for folks who detransition.
regret does not automatically mean someone did something wrong. regret is simply one possible result of having bodily autonomy, and i think we need to get more comfortable with that.
people b saying things so definitively. like man i think it depends

The thing thatâs always missing from the âwomen didnât fight for the right to work they were already working they fought to get paidâ is that many women also very much wanted to work.
Women wanted to be lawyers and engineers and chemists. They wanted to use their brains in challenging and interesting ways. They wanted to get the satisfaction from solving problems and inventing new shit and getting attention for it.
I know not everyone is born with intellectual curiosity or drive or determination but some people are and many of those people are women.
Literally.

"While I was trying to photograph the Northern Lights in the wee hours of the morning, my cat decided to photobomb the picture. Since I had the cameraâs shutter speed maxed out, it ended up leaving a sort of ghostly image of my cat in the photo."

Oh WOW what a lovely portrait!
Anyway scrimmages are enrichment for post-rivalry married on the Cens hollanov. Donât talk to Shane right now Luca, heâs thinking about slamming Ilya into the boards and saying âToo slow, eh Rozanov?â Before expertly stealing the puck and scoring with reckless aggression on their poor backup goalie. Heâs going to suck on Ilyaâs bruise later. Wiebe is wondering if this is at all productive but like. Hollander and Rozanov did take a slight pay-cut.
Ilya in a huddle with Bood and Troy and the d-men like âdonât fuck this up for me we have to take him downâ and Troy is smirking like âdonât you mean them?â And Ilya is like âNO. Hollander. We take him down like a hoard of ants. Why are you laughing Barrett? This is not funny. This is not haha. He sees through you and knows all your fears. He is relentless. When he canât play hockey he reads about it. What was the last book you read, Dykstra?â
guys. Guys please you're allowed to say big boy words. please we cannot keep just rolling with the sanitization of every space on the internet ok. you're allowed to say suicide. you're allowed to say porn. they're not bad words, they're just words.
also by ''censoring'' the words with silly spellings you're actually making it much harder for people to filter out. please just say Sex you don't have to call it woohoo like it's the fucking sims. i promise the Word Police aren't going to arrest you
