I think we as a society don't talk enough about the fact that Stratt straight up STOLE Grace's hacky sack the first time she met him just to dramatically throw it to him with an iconic one liner hours later

Either she was like 'oh I really like this it's mine now' and never had any intention to give it back or the whole interaction where Grace begs her to let him help and she can give it back to him in a really cool way was planned from the start and honestly, I can see it?!?

no because i LOOOOVE the idea that grace is 100% on board with being studied and kinda poked and prodded by eridian doctors. he’s a scientist, and his only hard line is obviously being like. vivisected lol. but here’s a piece of muscle tissue i won’t miss (and of course this becomes the meburgers), here’s a nail clipping, some of my hair, bodily fluids, go ahead and scan me listen to me monitor me learn all you can about me! he’s enthusiastic as hell about it, even though rocky might not be, but grace knows how exciting it must be for them to be able to study alien life for the first time and they’re SO respectful about it too. this is the thing that saved our planet and one of our people, we will learn everything we can about him in the most careful of ways so we know how to take care of him forever.

I fucking love that Ed and Stede are deeply flawed middle-aged queer men. I love that Ed can be self-destructive when he feels cornered and he can't deal with heartbreak and he's sensitive and a little scared of his own feelings. I love that Stede is bitchy and rude and sure he's very empathetic by nature but he can sometimes be a dick and he's sometimes not very good at reading the room and he's very susceptible to flattery because he craves positive attention. I love their miscommunication in "Man on Fire" and how bitchy they are to each other in "Fun and Games" and how they're such soft silly dorks who are incapable of Taking It Slow or staying angry at each other for extended periods of time.
