Yeah, no one truly knows where the Midwest fully is and there are MANY arguments over what state is part of "The South". Doesn't help thay regarding the South, some of it is political too, not just geographical.

So ultimately, American cultural geography is kind of a guess.

See my assumption, as someone from the east midlands in the uk, is that it would be a similar concept and be either the middle of the west or the west of the middle. But from what i know of America… that’s not correct.

one of the usa locations is where my friends are living/where i have visited a couple times and it has. some of the worst drivers. one of my friends joke that Getting to your location in one piece is a win. i am surprised that they stop for pedestrians a little bit BUT if you're in a car?? fuck you

My favorite thing rn is the UK folk who are in America for the World Cup and finding about weather severity in the states.

Like, I am not going to touch on the heat thing that is a dumb constant argument cause I will say pure temperature wise, America has it the worse, humidity wise, England and such are only beat by a *few* states when it comes to average. (Louisiana being the big one, my Aunt lived in both and said it compares)

But what I am talking about are the thunderstorms and storm shelter signs that people are seeing. Y'alls storms genuinely don't compare because you are farther from the equator and many people are arriving during thunderstorm and tornado weather season. Last week was my favorite because there are a few people who came really early to do the whole tourist thing and got to experience tornado siren testing for the first time! Lovely to see people briefly believe the purge is real or that they are in genuine danger.

The reaction to thunderstorms is my favorite, because it really can't compare. American thunderstorms are beautiful and I hope that one day you'll be able to experience one.

I really really want to experience your weather some time. Not so much the sun, though. Like wind and storms and tornadoes? Scary but like, cool. The SUN? Nah. Nah. Sorry, nawt happening. Not gonna.

i haven’t heard the word “cyberstalking” in a long time but it used to be a recognizably bad thing to stalk someone online, to try to dig up everything you can on them, follow their every move online, obsessively post about them, barrage them with messages, block evade, etc - but now it’s just normalized and seen as something totally “ok” to do if the person in question is “problematic” in some way - like the same people who say “if your partner does this run” will turn around and do the same thing to a stranger online they dont even know and they don’t even think twice - it’s abuse, it’s harassment… just stop it
