Done! It was really good and then super boring. Not sure if I’ll be reading the rest of the trilogy (I know there are like 30 total books), but I’m glad I read it (and that it’s finally done).

Young Cathy and Heathcliff find a half staved unconscious Jane Eyre on the moors and poked her with a stick to see if she's dead. She isn't roused by their proding and they don't care enough to try and help her so it isn't mentioned in either book.

Currently trying to get through My Year of Rest and Relaxation, I don’t think I’ll be finishing it.

I’m feeling very bold, I might try reading Dune. Going to see about getting it at my library (I’ve been using Libby a lot recently!) because I don’t want to buy it if I don’t think I can finish it lol

In a strange turn of events, I’m about half way through Agustina Bazterrica’s Tender Is The Flesh

It’s pretty strange, is all I have to say for the time being

Just finished the book, it ended super abruptly. I understand the metaphor they are getting at, about capitalism and overconsumption but I thought that the end was rushed and landed a little flat. Maybe that’s the point, that despite everything the cycle continues… idk. The descriptions of the processing plants were definitely disturbing.

Maybe because it was translated into English, something was lost along the way.
