This is the 3D model of my illustration, done in ZBrush. It took me ages to finish it but I quite like how it turned out.
Now I just have to export it and rig it (which will take me another eternity).

Tried myself at digital painting for the first time! Isn't perfect by far but turned out better than I had imagined it would.
This is a character I`m currently working on. My next step is to try to sculpt this one in Z-Brush! So stay tuned for more.
Made with Photoshop.

We had to write an essay about an animation short for theory classes. You can read my interpretation down below! I focused on metaphors.
I also posted the video down below, for those of you who haven`t seen it yet :) It`s really good!
Have an epic trailer for: Vicious Vladimir.
I don`t know what I did this for but it was fun.
Done with Adobe Premiere in about half an hour.

This was my submission for this years Christmas party! We had to do some kind of short animation which was then presented at the party.
My animation was done in Maya and took me approximately an hour or two. Then I snipped the clip together in premiere to add some extra trash to it, like the pixilated one or the upside down effect.
Add some music and look at how dorky the trees dance! enjoy
soo the last few weeks I was occupied doing 2D animation! It was hard at times and really nerve wrecking but over all I enjoyed it!
This is one of the finished animations, drawn on paper, then scanned and edited in TVPaint. I learned a lot during these 3 weeks, especially just how long it takes for such a simple and short animation to make.
The task here was to animate the relationship between a bag of flour and a hook. For this project we had about 3 to 4 days time.
In the last few weeks I`ve been working on a CGI project. It was the first time I had the chance to get into programs like Maya and Z-Brush, which I really enjoyed. It was really hard getting into them but after a while you get used to the shortcuts and functions and everything.
Above you can see the process of how I did the neck of my (very) long giraffe in Maya. It was one hell of a fight but in the end I really liked the outcome. For the short video of my snake-neck-giraffe I had about 5 days time during the CGI course at HSLU.
It was a short period but really intense! Which I enjoyed greatly.
This right here is the other main character of our stop motion short movie: The Dinosaur-Carrot or Carrosaur.
His body is made out of styrodur. The eyes and the mouth are sculpted with supersculpy. He also has some mouth replacements, just like his friend Captain Carrot. The slim, green arms are made out of wire and his legs are made of small pieces of wood held together by wire.
I think this creepy carrot thingy is the puppet we`re most proud of... :)
This is the puppet of Captain Carrot. His head is made out of SuperSculpy, as well as his hands. The Captain has some mouth replacements, with which we were able to change his expression. His body is made out of small pieces of wood and held together by wire.
During animating his foot broke several times, which was a pain to replace... So looking back I would go for thicker wire for the feet to begin with.
The last few weeks we`ve been working on our stop motion project in groups of three. Our story is about Captain Carrot who goes to space and finds a new planet with gigantic carrots on it.
During the first week we prepared everything we needed for the animation later on. We built our puppets, each one out of different materials, and created our set. In the second week we installed everything and tried to figure how to set the lighting so as to give our story the right vibe. We wanted everything to look rather lowkey, which means that there are a lot of shadows and contrast. Then, finally, in the third week we started animating our puppets.
Above you can see a time-lapse video of us animating the final scene of our short movie.
We took the pictures with Dragonframe and imported them later on in premiere in order to align them to sequences.
I did a quick (very rough) gif out of my logo, first time trying myself on animating gifs! Made with photoshop.
The very first task in our ArtSkills class was, to portrait each other. Back then we didn't know that this would lead to us making a logo out of ourselves :)
The goal was it, to make a characteristic logo out of our faces. I choose for my attributes my outstanding ear, the piercing in it and my hair which always seems to be on the one side only...
At first I was at a loss for inspiration because I couldn't quite fathom which attributes were characteristic for my face. But after having other students drawing me I saw where they laid the focus, which helped me a lot!
In the end I think I probably could have reduced it even more, but I`m happy with the result!
This is the first ever straight forward animation I did. Created during the Vorkurs Lucerne. I was strongly inspired by the animations of Jesús Pérez.
My aim was it, to show the interaction between the animator and the animation. I worked very experimental and just took everything as it came, which was an uncommon but convenient way to work!
It took me two days to draw all the animations and roughly another two to find a suitable sound for it.
