I haven’t forgotten Akkey, I promise. Playing icon catchup with another series and working full time and prepping for conventions have kept me pretty busy and having a tough time juggling replies. I’m almost done catching up with icons but my parents are coming up for a visit this weekend (yippee) so I probably won’t be able to do much until the evenings when they’re asleep.

      Mirai glances up from her homework at the sound of a light rapping on her front door; she wasn’t expecting any visitors, and unannounced company was a rare occurrence for the girl. Rising hesitantly to her feet she shuffles towards the door, idly mulling over whether or not she should draw her sword. As she reaches the door she draws up onto tip toes, peering out the peephole. She’s greeted by the familiar sight of Akihito, nervously fidgeting and glancing about, uncertain of what to do with himself while he waits.

       ❝ S-senpai, I didn’t expect you to turn up unannounced, ❞ she says, tugging open the door.  ❝ What brings you by? ❞

        “Well.... it’s your birthday today, so I wanted to see if you wanted to go to dinner.” 

        Good, she’d been home at all to answer the door. Akihito wouldn’t have put it past Mitsuki to purposefully drag Mirai out for celebrating and not tell him for an easy excuse to mess with him; it’s what the noir did best after all. But a proper dinner in which he’d pay for the entire check without complaint, and let Mirai eat to her heart’s content, and quite possibly a date, is what he wanted. Knowing Mirai, she would jump at the chance to be able to have as much ramen or whatever she wanted, but the sentiment to properly celebrate her birthday now that they were finally reunited.

        “So.. do you want to?”

When you really want to ask someone if they’re willing to relinquish a URL to you but the blog the URL is attached to is still fully intact and useable. I’m way too scared to risk looking like a total fool if they say ‘no you can’t have it, sorry’ but I would kill to be able to drop the hyphen in this URL....

I’m not dead, I promise. I’ve just been busy with cosplay stuff for myself or my roommate and working full time really leaves me at a 50/50 shot for having any writing motivation by the time I get home (especially on nights where I’m stuck there until 8:30). But tomorrow is Mirai’s birthday and I should be coming home right after I get off at 5:30 so I promise I’ll do my best to be on in the evening!

Last minute Munday pic before midnight rolls around, my JIDA uniform got delivered today and I was able to try it on when I got home from work, and much to my delight 98% of it fit (the belts are both a bit too short but I can work with that) so that’s a big load off my mind that I don’t need to scramble to make it work. Now I’m even more looking forward to the local convention that this cosplay will be debuting at with @fidusfamilia as my Mika!
