The Last Dragonborn is a khajiit with two tails! M'herra is from a large family in Elseweyr who crossed the border to Skyrim and got caught in an Imperial ambush, sending him into the journey that begins with his attempted execution and ends with saving the world from draconian tyranny
M'herra is 23 years old and married to Gore, who he loves dearly. He travels with his husband and several friends.
He bottles up his emotions until he physically can't anymore, believing after everything he doesn't deserve to feel bad.
He was born into a rich family of priests and is as devoted to Mother Mara as he can while also supporting his side hustle as a pirate captain.
Massive hypocrite at times and not immune to pettiness over small disagreements.
If he feels unsafe in public he'll twist his tails together to make them look like one tail, as they were a bit of a sore spot
Lucien doesn't always read the crew to sleep... but as they grow closer and bond and bleed together, it happens more often. Gore almost always hangs on the longest - he can't read (can't read WELL, by now they're all pitching in to help him learn) and hangs on every word. They chat sometimes, Gore will help Lucien remember things with clarity when he's writing letters or scribbling in his journal - Lucien is never in the thick of the fights and Gore can be quite the poet when he recalls the little details, which Lucien LOVES to record in his journals.
I think Nebarra and Xelzaz would be uneasy friends all the way to the dark brotherhood quest and I think that friendship would be broken to Nebarra the moment Xelzaz pulls a knife on the ldb, I think he would see that as a direct betrayal and a breach of trust on a level higher then murder.
It is Evening Star. The last season is protected by the last of the Guardian Constellations, the Thief—and is the sign of those born this month. Although not usually thieves themselves, people born this month are prone to taking risks, and unlikely success. Their luck will run out eventually, however…
“Clever Thief watches… Lover sighing… Shadow lying… Tow'r defying… Through the night.”
–Coyle
“The Serpent is cunning, but he has his blindspots. He does not value the strength or cleverness of mortals…”
–The Thief
“Today the Thief shall guide your steps on the road to destiny.”
–Uriel VII
“Yes, your sign is well known to this one, for it dwells in the hearts of all Khajiit. You have the luck of the Thief…of Baan Dar. You are swift, cunning, and beautiful. Your dance brings wealth and risk.Just spare this one your touch.”
–Hanubina-ko
“Who wieldeth the dagger as the surgeon doth his scalpel? The Thief, who cometh in ye dark of Evening Star. As thy knife is thy luck, make thou thy dagger of fortune, so thou mayest make fortune from thy dagger.”
–The Guardian of Stars
finally finished my tsavani character sheet... biiiiig lore drop and notes below:
Tsavani was born in Rimmen, deep in the Thalmor client state of Anequina. She was adopted as a kitten by an Altmer artisan, who was fascinated by the quality of her fur and decided to take her in as some sort of prized pet.
She was pampered and spoiled with private lessons; Tsavani learned how to sing, play the lute and was taught the basics of a variety of artisanal crafts. Smithing and leather working ended up becoming one of her favorite hobbies, though her master insisted she focus on music instead.
"It gives a much more elegant impression, don't you think? I can't laud your armor around, it's too... brutish!"
In exchange for this privilege, she was to surrender absolutely everything to her master. Her body, her voice, her feelings and her autonomy. Tsavani has to be beautiful, she has to be perfect. She was putty in their hands, to be molded to whatever her master saw fit. This was her only purpose, and she couldn't fail at any cost.
Growing up, Tsavani was led to believe expressing her feelings and having desires was inherently selfish, so for years she harbored the guilt of wanting to be her own person. Of wanting to be free. She should be thankful to have a roof over her head, what's the point of freedom if it meant she'd have to suffer the weight of reality? The khajiits outside of Rimmen's walls had to worry about war and famine, and here she is yearning to leave the safety of her cage. What a horrible person she was.
At some point, she had let her true feelings slip in front of the maid assigned to her. Tsavani doesn't know what the maid's motives for her next actions were— whether it stemmed from bitterness or pity, it mattered little. In the end, that one night at the banquet changed her life forever.
The maid tainted her wine glass with the blood of a lycan, and in Tsavani's frenzy she had killed every poor sod on the guest list. As soon as woke from her stupor and stumbled upon her master's corpse, she knew she had to make a run for it.
The chains around her neck were now left in her hands, but she didn't know what to do with it. So she just... ran.
After about a month, Tsavani ended up in Skyrim. With nowhere to go and no one to turn to, she decides to head for the Bard's College. Her master may no longer be alive, but she could still fulfill her purpose in this way, right? They wanted the perfect bard, and so she will be the perfect bard.
Perfection, no matter the cost.
Personality:
Proud of her own skills and very eager to learn more as long as it makes her look good.
Insane people pleaser for what I hope are obvious reasons. Appearances are very important to her, and if you've somehow managed to convince her you'll never, ever, ever like her then Tsavani will just,,, kill you. Your opinion doesn't matter if you're dead.
She can come off as a bit disingenuous if you're around her long enough. It's why her companions distrust her at first, the only thing that determines her choices is how much it'll change the way people will perceive her. She doesn't have a consistent set of morals so she becomes hard to predict at times.
"I need you to need me." — has the overwhelming desire to be valuable, to be irreplaceable, gets increasingly erratic if a person she cares about intends to leave.
Her 83471983 problematic behaviors aside, she's... normal!! Very charismatic, we're talking speech level 80 here.
She has Golden Girl quotes locked and loaded.
Really likes history, and is particularly interested in her own culture. Growing up as an Altmer's "pet" in Rimmen meant she only got to view Khajiiti culture from behind a window. She never really got to experience it for herself, so she goes out of her way to preserve the songs, the stories, the art and the language. It gets difficult when the Thalmor are slowly erasing parts of it though. There's an entire generation of kittens in Anequina that can barely speak Ta'agra, and it's the most disheartening thing to witness.
Tsavani is a foodie. Herbs and spices are very important to her, so you can imagine the distress that came with landing in the only fucking province that actively refuses to season their food.
She makes the MEANEST Spicy Seafood Boil. The gang has it every Loredas.
Kind of a clean freak? As in, she takes baths regularly and will move mountains just for a shower. Her fur and her mane are very very important to her. She has bottles upon bottles of soap and oils to care for her hair. If you ask her for hair care advice she will be SOOOO happy to help you. Tsavani makes her own oils too, so you won't have to worry about running out. Usually smells like flowers when she's not messing around inside a crypt or a dwemer ruin.
Tsavani handles the bartering, she is IN there like a filipino mother at a palengke. Her bartering mode is much scarier than her werewolf form.
Gift giving is her love language, she WILL tailor clothes and armor to your taste. She sometimes kills people soley because she thinks they have something her companions would want.
Doesn't steal, but only because the person she's stealing from would probably hate her if she got caught. She doesn't like that very much, so Tsavani resorts to either killing them or manipulating them into giving her what she wants.
Flirts but can't handle what they dish back. Every time her companions say "Love you!" she trips on her own tail. Literally.
Loves listening to people and does take the time to remember what you say. It's why Remi gets along with her, she's one of the few people to actually engage in what she has to say. She has her yappatron 2000 moments, of course, particularly if she's asked about self care, khajiiti culture or seafood.
Notes on her Werewolf Situation:
Tsavani doesn't like being a werewolf one bit, she thinks it looks ugly and it terrifies her. Beauty is her entire thing, isn't it? The only reason she wasn't left for dead by her late owner. She can't afford to look ugly, she just can't.
The intention was for the wolf to be the manifestation of the feelings she's been bottling up for her entire life. Her desire to express love, hate, and her desire to break free. Growing up the way she did, she learned to demonize these feelings, to see them as selfish. Once she gets to the point of allowing herself to indulge in this "selfishness", she has more control over her lupine form. She starts accepting herself, and eventually becomes more than what was made of her.
I mentioned the maids motives stemming from either pity or bitterness and it's because her lycanthropy pretty much acted as a "key" out of her gilded cage. Could've been a way to humble her, could've been a way to grant her freedom. She'll never know.
Also, it's modeled after a Lykoi cat LMAO I wanted it to have more cat like features than wolf ones, so the shorter snout and the pointed ears with tufts on em were my best attempt at that.
[Also, also, to be abundantly clear, her master didn't treat her like a pet because they were an Altmer or anything, they're just a piece of shit 😭 it's not at all a normal occurrence in Rimmen, even with the intense hold the Thalmor has on it. Everyone thought the guy was weird. ]
