Some concepts for Swapaxefell Grillby and Alphys. Could these even be considered Undertale characters anymore?? Man.

Grillby and Alphys both hail from a bandit clan previously stationed in Hotlands. After a brutal massacre that left only a handful of survivors, the two made the sojourn to the Snowdin settlement to find the safety and security they lost.

Grillby works as the forgemaster of Snowdin, crafting and repairing tools, weapons, and armor for the populace.  He’s a bit of a pretentious ass. Saracstic and obnoxiously observant, he grates on Aliza’s nerves more often than would be strictly healthy for most other inhabitants, but his unique skillset offers him a generous amount of leeway with the little briar-heart baroness – if Snowdin lost him they’d eventually wind up using broken weapons and farm tools to fend off bandits and ferals again.

 Alphys works as his assistant, watching the forge, throwing out the rabble, and doing any heavy lifting the forgemaster requires. She owes her life to Grillby on more than one occasion and seeks to pay that debt in full by working for him. Years of trauma and tragedy have made her selectively mute, but she doesn’t shy away from grumbling and growling to intimidate.
