There isnt any real drama (that i know of) with deviantart, but i dont rly like it because i was exposed to traumatic things on there when i was a young kiddo, same with ao3 although i do know of some drama with the archive.

For deviantart id rather just ignore conversations about it in general (except for here, idm answering ur question) because it was what opened the floodgates to my pron addiction, and because of it i started consuming very dark content.

For ao3, it allows works that glorify and romanticize dark topics, such as (but not limited to): incest, pedophilia, rape, etc. Not only of fictional characters but also of real people and real minors.

Ao3 also censored works that not even talked about but just mentioned Palestine/the genocide, which is kinda weird for a site made by/for people who claim to be anti-censorship..

Gender is a social construct and so is race, but ethnicites are not a social construct. Even though race is not real, it still has an effect on people because of racism.
