âwhy do you think i want to take a shot off you.â people at this party were full of preconceived ideas, about her and about what lengths she would go to. âiâll only do it if you make it two because i donât want to remember this.â
âYou look like you could use a couple shots. They responded with a laugh. âYou can do as many as you want, and if your feeling bold maybe we can switch.â
holden laughed at first, but then he realized that monty was trying to insult him and went completely silent. he looked away a bit awkwardly before speaking, âyeah, too bad youâre not. i wouldâa for sure caught you before you hit the ground.â his words werenât spoken entirely clearly but enough so that the blonde could understand. his hand lifted to riffle through his disheveled hair, looking over to the car a matter of feet away. âhow do you not know how to change a tire? my dad wouldnât even buy me a car without me knowing how to change a tire first.â
Monty smirked at the boy. âYou think so?â Monty said playfully as they looked up at the boy. âRemember that fumble during the championships? I donât know if you could grip me.â They grinned at the boy before looking back at their car. âI just figured when I needed a tire change a boy on a skateboard would be here to help, and here you are!â Monty joked at they looked back at the boy with a smile. âNormally I have Orion look at all of this, but this was a surprise.â
He expected this type of behavior from his brother who simply didnât care of consequences. Orion bent down and gripped Monty by the waist and hoisted him onto his shoulder, stomping his way back out of the party and made his way to his car, not letting the other squirm too much until he could open the door and struggled trying to put monty inside of his car. â Monty, just get in the fucking car, now. â He knew what it was to be in a dangerous relationship with partying and didnât want his brother to be swept away even further into the throws of it all.
Monty struggled as their brother grabbed them. âPut me down!â Monty whined as they went to hit the boyâs back. As their brother tried to put them into the car theydid everything to make it hard for Orion to get them into the car. âWhy do you have to be such a dick.â Monty shot at the boy as they groaned. Monty knew they werenât as strong as the other boy and eventually they gave up and sat in the passenger seat. âYour so embarrassing.â
Orion had a specific rule and it was that as soon as he spotted his brother at a party, he would both sober up and force the man to leave immediately. Sure, it meant that Orion could be considered quite the killjoy but there had been far too many nights with rubbing his brotherâs back as he puked into the toilet for his irresponsible party. Another layer of pressure, another thing to worry about on top of the rest that constantly racked Orionâs brain. â Monty, get up. â His frame towered over his brother, it was only tough love that would get him home despite the amount of protest he would. â Iâm giving you until the count of three before I carry your ass to my car. â His voice was stern but quiet, not wanting to make too much of a scene for the others who were still enjoying themselves. Luckily, Orion hadnât started drinking too much and still had the wherewithal to drive home sober.
Monty now sat on the lap of the boy as they looked back at their brother. âDonât be such a dick Orion, go get a drink and chill out.â They slurred as the boyâs hand now rested on Montyâs thigh. âKiss my ass.â Monty said loudly with a smirk as he grabbed his drink and threw it back. They set the empty container on the ground before they returned back to kissing the boy. As of late being drunk or high was Montyâs escape from all the shit that ran through their mind.Â
holden laid there for a moment, back pressed flat to the ground as he stared up to the increasingly darkening sky, trying to catch the breath that was knocked out of him with his impact. he knew he hit somebody but that wasnât his focus straight away. instead, he was more focused on the pain he was feeling. a few seconds pass before he looked over to see monty on the ground a couple feet away from him. he groaned, shifting to make an attempt to stand up. âyou make it a habit of yours to just walk right in front of people on skateboards or am i just lucky?â his intent was to make light of the situation but with the pain he felt, his words were spoken just a bit sharply.
Monty grabbed their scratched knees and rolled their eyes at the boy. âMaybe if I had been a football you would have paid enough attention to where you were going.â Monty stood up and brushed their hands off as they looked up at the dark grey sky. The sound of distant thunder made them sigh. âLook, my car got a flat and if you can help change my tire Iâll take you home so you donât run over another unsuspecting pedestrian.âÂ
It was after school and the setting sunâs orange glow emanated into the gymnasium, glistening off of Montyâs bejeweled eyes. Monty stood in a white cropped tank top and a pair of maroon dolphin shorts. They took their speaker from their bag and set it up and flipped through the songs until they found the one the squad had been using for their latest routine. As the loud music began to fill the room Monty began to dance. Their movements were precise as always, though Monty always practiced during their free time. Montyâs long lashed eyes caught someone in the corner of the room and with a grin they looked at their company. âLike what you see?âthey asked as they rolled their hands down their body, continuing the routine.
okay, maybe it wasnât the best weather to be skateboarding and it felt like it could rain at any given moment but holden had been waiting ages for the sky to brighten up from itâs blue gray dullness. he felt almost claustrophobic having to take his car everywhere. so he was taking advantage of the high 40s temperature, having brought his skateboard with him to school with intentions of using it to go home. he was probably about halfway home, already having made his way to, through, and away from downtown paradise hills, when he started feeling little speckles of rain hitting his face. holden looked up to see clouds had once again taken over the skies. distracted, and annoyed, he didnât notice that someone had walked right into his path until it was too late. he had collided with them. grunting and groaning, the male brought his hands up to run over his face and through his hair. âof fuck, dude.â
Monty was headed home from cheer practice when their car got a flat tire. With a groan Monty pulled his vehicle over to the side of the road. He peered out his window to see the dark grey clouds above. âFucking perfect.â He muttered under his breath as he exited his car. As he began to walk around his car to the passenger side a blur connected with him as he went flying to the ground. âShit.â Monty groaned as he hit the ground with a thud.Â
Monty was already pretty drunk at this point in the party despite having only been there for twenty minutes. Tonight Monty wore a cute lacy black top with a black skirt and a long neon green wig. Montyâs makeup was striking, always carefully applied and perfected. It came to his turn in the spin the bottle and he flicked the bud light bottle and watched as it went around the circle. He took a sip of his drink as the bottle came to a stop. He grinned at his peer as he moved closer and planted their glossy lips on the otherâs puckered lips. As Monty kissed the boy he heard something that made his stomach drop. âOrion!â Someone called from a couch nearby.
