They always told themselves they lived with twelve people by choice. That this was where they slept, so this, unequivocally, was home.

To some extent, it was true. Well, sometimes, when the cops were really out to get them, they’d sleep in the church center attic. But mostly, they were there: in Tyler’s late mother’s place in the Plattenbau with the shared kitchen, the beaded curtain, the Monstera that practically swallowed half the room. They hadn’t done a bad job with it. The cracking, grey walls were covered with torn out pages from various sketchbooks (switched from leaflets, they’d learned from all of the raids). They never turned the overhead on… it had burned out ages prior, anyways. Better not to try. The floor was mostly an ever-moving, writhing mass of futon and ratty mattress, bodies piled atop, hands on waists and chins on shoulders. These days, though, people had started moving out. They had started to lose the closeness of desperation— the body against body, the shared breath of a shared dream, the before.

OMGGGGGG! Danke fürs Lesen!! Seit acht Jahren!! Das ist ja toll! So viele verschiedene Fandoms!
