I'm really torn for this year's mob vote. The crab claw for reach could be good, but only if you add it to your tool. Taking up a precious inventory slot when you're building is such a bad idea. But if it can be added to your tool, then that makes mining better, deep dark safer (in that you don't have to get as close to the sensors to break them), and digging out large projects more manageable.

The badlands desperately needs a makeover, so an armadillo there is a great idea. But if they'd just fix wolf AI, we wouldn't need armor for them! Most of their deaths are walking into lava, campfires, cacti, falling off drops they shouldn't even be allowed to drop from, etc.

Penguin make boat go brrr? Boat go plenty brrr already, and stony shores are new enough they don't need anything else, though I can see the appeal of boat go faster on land. However, there's still the issue of not being able to go up any elevation on land so how does that really help? Ice boat roads are a thing, I know, but that's a ton of work. And what's the clumsy part? Or the friendly aspect? Are they just going to constantly be in the way?

They never give us enough information on these teaser videos to make a good, educated decision.

Also because it is Minecraft’s birthday, here’s some builds I’m proud of!

okay those are world gen, not my work, but still pretty!

from tiny houses to massive ones

and works in progress. I’ve built quite a lot of things over the years! (The bottom one is a deepslate and red nether brick castle/fortress I started before mangrove wood was a thing. I’ve added a round silo looking guard tower on the other side, and while it’s only four levels, each of those levels are 12 blocks high. So this place is absolutely massive, which is why it’s taking me 87 forevers to get it done! The fact that it almost can’t render because of the fog+distance, the banners along the walls not rendering at all, and that tiny gray spot that is my shadow all show just how far away I had to get to see the whole thing.)

I don’t expect people to answer, but am I the only one noticing that n*tch apple is getting used a lot more now? Like people quit using that name as much as possible shortly after references to him were removed from the game (he’s still in the credits, he has to be, but all the splash text things and things like that were removed) back in March 2019 (and so was he) because of his behavior and comments. (Whether he left or Microsoft booted him no can say for sure, there was conjecture that Microsoft wouldn’t buy if he was still associated with the game) Some people called them God apples, or enchanted apples, both are lovely alternatives. But I’m hearing so many more people revert to that name again. It’s even more shocking for me to look at their tags and see LGBT-type things, and I can’t help but wonder how they can be while still using that. It’s gotten to the point if I hear someone using it, I just leave. I do not want to be in that space, whether a video or stream, where that is acceptable verbage. Yes, some people don’t care. Some people are doing it to ‘get a rise’. If either of those are the case, I don’t want to be around it. And I’ve seen other people speak up and get told ‘that it’s name get over it’ or something similar. So yes, I’m judging you if you use it. Yes, I’ll leave if you do. And if you don’t understand, google it. There’s a lot of articles dated March 28, 2019 that reference the things he tweeted/said somewhere else. If you’re fine with that, keep on using the name. But don’t be surprised if the people who aren’t go elsewhere.
