Genuinely surprised about the lack of Rocketeer and Hwando content, not on their own mind you but as a couple. Idk i just think they would have a VERY interesting dynamic. Cause you got this former rebel leader who's grappling with the guilt of indirectly ending so many lives, someone who genuinely feels remorse and wishes to atone for what he's done. And then a remorseless monster who takes joy in the destruction he causes and even deflects blame onto the people he's killed. It's more than just an opposites attract situation, it's like they're literally at eachothers throats with how their ideologies collide. Theres so much conflict going on, so much potential for story writing and how a relationship between them could even work. Maybe its toxic, maybe its doomed., its anyones guess really. idk ive just been thinking about them for months now and i still have yet to see ANYTHING about them.... im still feeding off the crumbs of their unique carry animation,,, i know what you are Hwando...

Another little thing id like to mention before i close out this rant, Rocketeer loves to pester and pick on people,,, and Hwando is most susceptible to pranks... do with that what you will.

my interpretation of arirals, spec bio notes under cut (none of this is canon, all just fanon worldbuilding stuff)

arirals' love of shrimp made me think that they have a crustacean equivalent on their home planet, and its a staple of their diet. the need for a super strong bite force became arbitrary as they entered into an industrialized age in their civilization, where they use mechanized force to crack open these alien crustaceans and process the edible bits. perhaps some groups still prefer the old-fashioned way of eating, cracking them open with just their maw, maybe as a part of a tradition or a sport.

i'm thinking these alien crustaceans contribute to arirals vibrant hair/fur color, in a similar vein to how flamingoes and roseate spoonbills get their vibrancy from their shrimp heavy diet. genetics still play a large part in determining the true underlying color, but an alien crustacean heavy diet influences the saturation and vibrancy.

the large jowels they have are home to very large salivary glands that produce their highly acidic saliva. it also serves as an extra cushiony barrier between the glands, and whatever prey they would've had fighting in their mouth.

their ears have two openings, each specialized in filtering different frequencies of sound. the bottom ear can be slid into the top, the overlaying flap from the top ear providing a muffle. this is used for preventing water and fluids from entering the ear canals when diving or plunging into water, and for protecting their hearing from sound based damage. it can also be interpreted as a rude gesture in a social setting, since the ariral would be shutting out the rest of the conversation, like plugging one's ears and going lalalalalalala.
