Actually I think Calder being trans in any which way would be really bad and feed into stereotypes A LOT but I don’t think the people are ready for that yet. Especially considering his transphobia and transmisogyny not JUST misogyny

Here’s something I think about a lot. Skulltitans are supposedly supposed to be like Komodo Dragons (though generally based on Godzilla which is a mix of a bunch of different lizards)

Komodos (or any other venomous lizard) cannot actually produce venom from their claws, but I will suspend my disbelief nonetheless. Assuming the venom is not purely radioactive and is meant to mimic actual komodo venom this means Dismas is Regularly affected by venom that is known to prevent blood clotting, rapidly lower blood pressure, induce shock and expedite blood loss.

He really can take a lot and it’s impressive his survival ability can actually allow him to survive this (it’s even stated other people would not be able to do so) all the while probably still being chased by the thing or whatever other circumstances he could wind up in. I like thinking about the sheer extent of this

PLEASE GOD I NEED DISMURRIT FANFICTION THAT DELVES INTO HOW THEY SEE EACHOTHER VS HOW THEY ACT TOWARDS EACHOTHER

I want to see how Murrit sees Dismas as the only one who understands her, as the only one who’s really Real instead of some fake game piece, as someone she loves and thinks of as the best thing that ever happened to them… vs how horribly he treats him. How he mocks every part of him he hates but they adore. How he doesn’t want to hurt him or even see him hurt… but she does anyway by overcompensating to the extreme and leading him down deeper into self loathing, never once apologizing.

I want to see how Dismas thrives off Murrit’s validation. I want to see how deep down he does love him but has so much built up resentment towards her over the years and self hate he can’t begin to think about her in that way, or imagine they’d ever see him in that way. I want to see how he trusts them most in the fact that he can actually express his concerns without guilt or have his own toxic masculinity in the way, and yet she is the cause of a lot of his problems…

I want to see people delve into their horrendous power dynamics to the point they are compared to predator (Murrit) and prey (Dismas) consistently. How Dismas doesn’t have control, cannot say no, and does whatever Murrit wants, and needs them to make difficult decisions for him after breaking down his ability to. Murrit has an insane need for control constantly, and freaks out when he loses it.

Dismurrit is interesting in the way that they have so many conflicts within themselves, and their dynamic couldn’t exist without the context of the quadrant system. They truly do love eachother but neither of them can admit that, in part because of their own mental turmoil and masks they put up, and in part because of the social pressure not to vacillate or they will be shunned and seen as the lowest of the low. I want people to think about this…
