at this point i can't tell if they're actually building to something or if the schrodinger's gays is the Point and the joke would be ruined if they explicitly defined their relationship (akin to something like revealing the waitress's name). but then again they did the same thing with the running gag of frank maybe being charlie's bio dad but confirming that he's not actually opened the door to more layers of comedy in their dynamic. i'm literally 50/50 on this
