Mac huffed and crossed his arms over his chest, very aware that there was little he could do. “… Nothing.”

“Exactly. So deal with it.” He gave him a smug look. “Because I won’t listen to any of your whinin’.”

A small pout formed on his lips as he said, "I'm not whining."

“Vietnam? Wow, that’s a long way away.” He grinned and then nodded. “Mhmm. I’ve lived here all my life. Then again, that’s only eight years…”

“Oh I suppose it is…Thought if you don’t mind me asking, where are we to be exact…?” Her words seemed to trail off into nothing while looking around the area for a quick moment.

"Generally speaking, you're in America, but more specifically you're outside Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends," he explained, indicating to the large house just beyond the gates.

John had to lean down a bit to reach his hand, but he grinned nonetheless and shook it. “John. Now, where were you headed?”

"Nice to meet'cha, John." He released the other's hand and then paused in thought. He glanced around and replied, "Well, it's after school so I'm supposed to be at Foster's."

Mac smiled to him and held out a hand. "I'm Mac. Nice too meet'cha, Charlie."

Mac scratched at the back of his head, unnerved by the other's stare. "Er, hey. What's your name?"

A slightly confused expression crossed his face as he nodded. “Yeah, how did you know?”

"Another Blue?" he asked. "Huh, I know a Bloo, but that's with a double o."

Mac gasped at the use of bad language. “You can’t talk like that in front of a kid!”

“I’m from Nha Trang in Vietnam.” The young woman stated. “So, do you live around this area…?”
