Would of posted this on the day but I kept spotting things wrong with it. Took me a long time as well, but that's only because I kept playing around with shading and filters. Either way, just wanted to make a Halloween piece since I haven't been posting or commenting as much this year so far. Pictured from left to right are: Pug (mummy), Bill (skeleton), Ryouga (axe murderer), Higemaru (werewolf) and his girlfriend who I should have really named by now (witch). This is another redraw I've been struggling with for several months, I feel as though there's some stuff not 100% right with it. I like how it looks, but feels like I should do more for it. The constant burnout/art block is not helping either. Anyhow, here is the current state of the redraw. If I try to do more, I'll only get more annoyed with working on it. Compared to the original drawing, I decided to take a different route with this one. I'm really really pleased I chose this broken glass idea for the background, definitely wanna improve on that plus other things. Anatomy was a absolute pain to do, especially struggled with Drake, skunk and Ryouga... There was actually two other versions I did before settling for this one. Lastly, I'm happy with this rendition of Ryouga. I wanted to capture some of his cockiness/cheek I can imagine him expressing. Trying to relearn how to draw traditionally.

Should of finished this up like two months ago, haven't been feeling 100% for a while to be honest with you all. I should be okay, just got to get out of this mental funk I guess. In saying that, more of my OC, Ryouga (Both normal form and beast form.). Playing with outfit ideas and such, also kinda like the idea of Ryougas beast form having horns but not completely sold on the idea. Just messed around with photoshop brushes for the background. Also, absolutely loving the numerous fonts that adobe has for the Japanese language. In other news, thinking of changing my username AGAIN. Turns out there's a music group named MachineGirl (who are dope as hell it turns out!) so I wanna change it to something more unique to me. Original character Ryouga and art belong to ME. Been a while, hasn’t it?Just wanted to do something a little festive for the holidays since I didn’t bother last year. Featuring my OCs: Higemaru and Ryouga, hyped up for the holidays in some classic Christmas attire. Even the stoic Ryouga seems to be in a good mood, no?

After countless design attempts, I gave up on the jumper patterns and found some sweet vectors instead. Other than that, I’m pleased with how this came out.

I seem to be in another one of those ruts again... Zero motivation to draw, zero motivation to finish existing WIPs...

And this pandemic is not helping.

Something pretty different from my usual song and dance. Last month, one of my coworkers from my job had asked me if I could do some artwork for him. He wanted three A3 sized pieces of cartoon style artwork to display inside his minibar he built in his backyard. We had a pretty long discussion about the themes and possible ideas because he wasn't sure himself about what he wanted. He had the idea for one with him sitting at a bar with the caption of "It's your round!", before getting the better idea of him drinking with Homer Simpson (I believe we were looking at Simpsons memes when he got the idea, haha.). I then suggested if I should perhaps use the Simpsons style of drawing for each drawing, which he happily agreed on. This is the first of three commission pieces my coworker asked of me: Him enjoying a few beers with Homer at the Moe's Tavern. Some things he asked for especially for this one were for him to be in his work uniform, his arm tattoo and his glass to have the same design as his favourite pint glass.

Commission piece number two: My co-worker was quite vague with this piece, asking just for a drunken tramp near a lamppost; so I had full creative freedom here. My first idea was for the guy to just hang on to the post for balance, but I had the humorous thought of him acting out Singing In The Rain and failing due to his hands being full. I will admit, I did cut a small corner by tracing a part of Springfield for the far background and use the same colour scheme for colouring it.

Commission piece number three: My co-worker sent me a photo of him and his wife, asking for the last piece to be based off of it. I did a quick trace sketch of him, his wife, the wall and wheel before working it into something more original in parts - that being the background and the print on their clothes.

I had originally planned to do shading for each picture and asked my co-worker if he wanted flat colours or shading, which he declined when I showed him versions I've posted now and told me they were perfect. After, we discussed payment and, because I didn't want to charge too much for my first official commission, asked for £20 per picture (Which he was happy to pay in full.) All in all, I am happy with the end result for each piece and I hope he enjoys them. Homer Simpson and The Simpsons art style belongs to Matt Groening. Art belongs to ME. NO STEALING.

After playing around with some different brushes, I decided to do a lineart of a werewolf for fun. Took me around 2-3 hours to do and while I did make a couple of mistakes, I’m fairly happy with how the rest of it came out. I may decide to colour this at one point. One thing is for certain, I’ve found my new favoured Photoshop brush type. So far I’ve found it a tad quicker and much easier to use… so expect more art. Art belongs to ME. NO STEALING.

Would of had this one done sooner if it weren't for the small extras here and there. It was worth it though, I'm loving how this turned out. Wanted to try a different pose that I'm not used to, using my boy Higemaru, who I don't draw as often as Ryouga. The one thing I dislike is his shadow... I did a few attempts and this one was the best out of the lot. Original character and art belong to ME. NO STEALING.

I felt that Ryougas design needed a little touch up, first thing I wanted to change was his fur colour. While I do still kinda like the old scheme, I do like the idea of him wearing black gloves over light blue fur. Also, some outfit ideas may possibly be of a dark colour scheme, which would suit the lighter fur design much better I believe. Another thing I needed to try was his back scars, mostly from the punishments Ryouga received in his youth. Additionally, I gave him more scars and scratches, with the newer idea of  bite marks and gunshot scars as well. I plan on making a few more variations of his back scars but so far, I like where this redesign is going. Original character Ryouga and art belong to ME. NO STEALING.

Ryouga in a Christmas jumper. Used to own a similar looking jumper that said the same thing on the front. Just wanted to make something for the holidays. Ended up cheating with the trees and used a Photoshop render, but the snow was surprisingly easy to set up though. Original character Ryouga and art belong to ME. NO STEALING.
