GUEST: Jocelyn Brown
#SWOONSTEP is back to fill your ears with music and crushes! Crystal and Megan are talking The 1975’s honestly, no overstatement, life changing album I like it when you sleep for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it and Bonnie Raitt’s characteristically excellent Dig In Deep. Our guest this week is the extremely cool and accomplished Jocelyn Brown. In her daytime, Jocelyn is a music supervisor and producer for Leo Burnett Chicago where she works to pair artists and advertising campaigns. At night, she’s DJ Clerical Error, saving the city from bad brofests. If she sounds kind of like a superhero, well, she kind of is a superhero. We discuss her work in advertising and how it influences the way she listens to music, as well as her foray into DJing and what makes up a Clerical Error set. The way Jocelyn thinks about and approaches music is incredibly unique and her enthusiasm is contagious. We, of course, get the rundown on her crushes. They’re both thoughtful and wonderful.
You can find Jocelyn on Twitter @clericalerror and you should read her work for Impose Magazine. Thanks for listening!
