Especially when we are still angry with someone for hurting us. Letting the person who hurt us off the hook is the last thing we are thinking about doing. So how does forgiving others act as a reward for ourselves? When we forgive someone we are not saying that their "wrong" has been made "right". When we forgive others, we are giving ourselves permission to let go of the past and forget about the future. We are giving ourselves permission to live in the present. We are telling ourselves that it is okay to move forward in this life journey! We are also proving to ourselves that we are not letting this other person hold us down with anger and resentment. Dwelling in the past will only cause us to relive the action over and over again. When we harbor hate and anger towards a person, it acts as a negative force that holds us down from living a life that reaches true happiness. There is a saying, "Ships do not sink because of the water around them, they sink because the water gets in them." Do not let these wild waters sink your ship! Let the past go and know that you have learned a life lesson from this. Let the negative feeling towards this person be released and you should love them because they have given you another valuable life lesson. We must learn to forgive for our own well being. You must make #peace with your #pain and “Let that shit it go." It is the gift of peace to your self. The #moon is in a #waxingcrescent and it is three days old. Waxing means it is growing and crescent comes from the shape it holds now. We are still with in the “intention phase” of the moon cycle. As the moon is #new and #growing, you should be meeting your intentions and goals half way to help them “grow” also. Are you doing what needs to be done to meet your moon goals? The next moon phase (half moon) is a time for decision making. Take this time to manifest and bring your focus to your goals so when half moon is here, you can bring the serious parts of deciding what stays in your life and what goes. It will soon be time to gather all that you need for some active decision making. Learning to love yourself is an everyday task. Some days are better than others. I usually turn in towards myself and disappear in the month of #December. I always find my way back to this #book. Over the years the pages have become tattered and torn. #drwaynewdyer has the most beautiful way of translating the #taoteching by #laotzu. Each time I return to the pages I find new meaning to situations in my life. I have read a few versions but I love the way Dyer breaks it all the way down and even adds a few other writings of other translations. By translations, I just mean his whole take on things. Today I drew cards about #selflove. One card said “you have so much #love in your #heart to give, so give some to #yourself.” I took dried #rose peddles, #RoseQuartz, #CrystalQuartz, #Sage, and #candles. White for #clarity, pink for love for myself, and red for #creativity and #passion. I prayed for #peace and the #courage to #forgive. Then I wrote in my journal.
