Day to Day to Day
There’s not much to say, so I won’t spew. Life goes on day to day up on the hill under the seemingly ever grey, overcast Irish skies. I would be lying if I said that the lack of sunlight wasn’t getting to me. I feel like a hermit shut up inside away from the shit weather. Ya'll better keep an eye on me, pretty soon, my imaginary friends are going to start coming out to hang.
Last weekend, our little punk Jessie left us to hop back across the pond to Canadida. She really missed the maple syrup in fairness. It’s only been a few days but the whole atmosphere of the house is different. We can only hope that the exchange of Irish festivities with her American friend for the Canadian sunshine was worth it (I assume so because she isn’t back yet…). We’ll be seeing you soon puddin, most likely stateside or NZ if all works out. Truthfully, what I’m really pissed about is that... who’s going to be there to light my cigarettes now?! It’s pretty fucked up to walk out on ya girl like that. Whatever, I get it. ;)
And the countdown to the Irish leg of Natalie's trip begins! It’s been about…what, four months now since I’ve seen a familiar face, and lord knows I need it. Only 13 days until lil Nat leaves her French shenanigans and touches down in Dublin to spend two magical weeks in the greenness. And then onwards and upwards to the rest of Europe we go. Blessings! it’s time for some mothafuckin sunshine.
The past two weeks, I’ve been graced with the idyllic landscape of Ireland. First, at Woodstock Nature Reservation which in and of itself is gorgeous. But venturing past the reservation, down many a winding dirt road, we came upon a waterfall that clears your lungs with one inhale of cool forest air. Fucksake it was majestic. And then a little day trip over the Wicklow Mountains and the chance to look out on the Sally Gap, fully equipped with rolling hills, gorgeous light and a glacier lake in the valley. I’m sorry but it could not have been more breathtaking. Tell me again where you live and how beautiful it is because I guarantee you, that you’re just wrong because there is nothing more incredible than that drive.
Oh, Jella and I also legged it to London a while back, on the Fourth of July. That was pretty chill, pretty sweet, pretty sexy. Got the chance to do some touristy shit, snap some pics of those classic London landmarks, you knowwww. Anyway....
Please enjoy these piece of photographic evidence that I am still alive and still hanging. Bless.
OHH and I've been trying to get back on that productive bandwagon and do some art. These are those attempts and I must say, pretty happy with it and can't wait to start doing large pieces!
