I just had a thought.

Andreas Von Strucker said that Fenris is always divided into a light and a dark half, balancing forces. The show leads us to believe that Andy is the dark half and Lauren is the light, but what if it’s not that simple? What if it’s more than just that one is born destined for a dark path and the other for a light one, but rather that whatever path one is currently on the other will shift to maintain that balance? When Andy “goes dark,” Lauren seems to go even further down the “light path” in nearly perfect counter to her brother. But when Lauren started to head down the darker path as well, Andy seemed to find his boundaries and start back tracking, as if with every step Lauren took towards darkness, he took one towards light

If Fenris always has to be in balance, than Lauren going darker would automatically force Andy to go lighter, and vice versa. Slowing moving them both to a gray point near the middle. (Kind of like a teeter totter.)

Even the bit that Andreas said about each side having to battle their sibling to learn their strengths and weaknesses. What if that was less about practicing their abilities and learning their other half and more about being the counterbalance to the other? A way to keep the other side in check no matter what sibling is on what side at the time.

This actually makes sense. I’m sad we didn’t get more to Fenris to wrap up the season. I felt like so much happened with the dreams and everything with the music box, I have a feeling they wanted to show much more but fox probably held them back a bit ,so hopefully if we get a season three Fenris will be a main focus. I feel like we haven’t seen the last of the darkness in both of them. And definitely so much more to see concerning their connection. Let’s see what the future holds

Dear FOX, please don’t cancel The Gifted. I know the show isn’t as fun and exciting as any of the superhero shows on The CW and it isn’t as popular with the social media fangroups. I also know it’s not as stylish, mystifying and edgy as things like The Umbrella Academy, Legion, Doom Patrol or Titans. But it takes up this precious spot as a serious drama about people with powers who fight for a better tomorrow. Not as inspirational heroes and not as a complete broken mess. Just as people in a shit situation. It’s kinda grounded, horrifyingly relatable and the flawed characters can break your heart in many ways. There is a lot of potential left that hasn’t been tapped into, it’s far from being a masterpiece. But it’s good. And weirdly unique in the overabundance of superhero tv.

Yeas yes yes!!!! The potential this show has is insane!! The stories they could tell if given the chance. Fox please renew this show, but also stop holding them back. Let the creators finally create the show they’ve been trying to all season. Let’s make The Gifted the show it’s mean to be. We need a show like this on TV, we can’t lose it.
